A while back an undocumented acquaintance said to me, "What a wonderful country California is!" And as I did checking on line, I discovered exactly why our state was a great place for an illegal, or undocumented immigrant to live.

Where else could an undocumented person be privileged to get a drivers license? And food stamps under the SNAP program giving the illegal precedence over a US citizen, when it comes to food stamps?

Add to that the fact that children and young adults get their education covered for free, and when they are old enough, they are eligible for money and grants to go to attend community and state colleges.
They are also covered under the Medicaid version of Obamacare for medical assistance and other health related needs.

Some cities are even working towards giving them the right to vote in local elections, i.e., electing city council members and issues pertinent to the city they reside. Of course if they are permitted to serve on California juries, why shouldn't they be accorded the right to vote?

And, now, thanks to our state legislators, the illegal immigrant who has a criminal history no longer needs to fear being handed over to INS or Homeland Security because California is now a SANCTUARY state!

I can't imagine myself being granted any of these privileges or rights if I were to illegally cross the border into Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico or parts south of Mexico. Is it any wonder my acquaintance states with a smile on his face, "What a wonderful country California is!"

Over the years, your elected leaders to the State senate and assembly have been slowly passing bills that is referred to as the California Package, giving our rights as legal citizens, away!

As a lifelong Californian, I am totally and completely embarrassed with their latest Bill to make this once great state a safe haven for illegal, undocumented immigrants! Would you be angry if your elected city leaders, county leaders or state officials deemed your state as a sanctuary state? I'd love to see your responses as comments, with your suggested solutions if this happened? Also please take the attached poll! God bless America, at least what is left of what we know of America!

The Feds need to come down hard on Cali for this. No Federal cash for this rebellious state. Enough already!

California is no longer an American State. It is a foreign country.

Get out while you can.

We would move too, but that takes money. Moving here five years ago, because of my disabilities we hired men to move and unpack boxes. I have neuropathy, fibromyalgia and a very bad back! My wife has chronic headaches with migraines caused by physical use of her hands, arms and shoulders.

The last time we moved, five years ago, I s my classic, primo Mustand to pay for the move! This time I have no tengo denaro to pay for a move out of state!

You moved there 5years ago? Good grief, Cali was in a sad state back then. Where did you move from and why would you want to move to a high tax location like California? The trend has been people moving out, not in. Out west ( and I have been there many times) Nevada would have been a far better place, no?

Remember the Alamo.

Did not a large chunk of the present U.S. of A.west of the La. Purchase belong to Mexico, including California?

What happens when the illegals outnumber the legals?

It would revert to Spain or the native Americans as Mexico rebelled against Spain and confiscated Spanish property.

You are right about California being bad back five years ago, but mu primo, restored Mustang only gained me so much, and it wasn't enough to move out of state. Plus, and this is the kicker, I have Kaiser, an HMO, and I've had them for 42 years now. I have some life threatening diseases, and finding another medical provider that knows me as well as Kaiser, played into our "Where should we move?" I have doctors treating my neurological problems, pain management doctors, cancer, and diabetes, that I trust completely. And even though Kaiser is in several other states, it was not in the states we were wanting to move, like Nebraska, Arizona, and New Mexico! You can see, where we move is tied into medical needs more then anything else!

You have a good question, but I have some serious medical issues that require numerous specialist, and I take a total of 23 different prescriptions.

Go bathe in the Ganges--some folk call it holy water. The whole world is polluted--food, air and water. The real pollution is of a spiritual nature--we love to go after false gods--mostly ourselves.

A lot of folk have come to this country fleeing persecution and exploitation. Why do we continue to exploit them?

Want to make a real friend? Find a Spanish speaking person and have them teach you Spanish while you teach them American.

Compare Jesus in American to Jes'us in Spanish--then tell about the real "Hey soos"--the Lamb of God.

These folk just want an opportunity.

Our problem is opium addiction which is a symptom of spiritual darkness(amorality), not illegal immigrants.

Via con Dios amigos.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Oh, I thought it was the rich of both parties who just wanted some really cheap labor....Latrinos, to clean the latrine, as one Democrat said a few months ago. They have to vote Democrat, too, or they will be stopped at the border. No doers, just dreamers....
