There are Calvinists right here on BB that will tell you the Atonement made salvation possible!

They will say it was sufficient for all of mankind, but only the Elect are chosen for it by predestination.

Of course that's where I would disagree.

Likewise, its possible to make faith a meritorious work or inherent grace thats meritorious by believing its a condition in us for salvation b4 God will save us or apply salvation.

Well here's Charles Hodge in his Systematic Theology:
"6. Faith is the condition of justification. That is, so far as adults are concerned, God does not impute the righteousness of Christ to the sinner, until and unless, he (through grace) receives and rests on Christ alone for his salvation."

There is a way to make faith meritorious but believing it is a condition is not it. I think Hodge qualifies as an actual Calvinist.

Scripture is very clear that you don’t believe your way to salvation.
Were it an amount of belief, there are some pretty dedicated believers in all sorts of religions.
Jesus is the giver of the grace. The belief is merely allowing Him to do what He said He will do. Faith is not a work. It is the absence of work.

2 Samuel 22:26
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful,

The atoning death of Christ Jesus covered the sins of all of humanity,
1Jn 2:2 "He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
the risen Christ made salvation possible for all those that would freely trust in Him.
Joh 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." BSB

So just so we are clear BF. The atonement saved no one we are saved by the risen Christ just as Paul clearly said here.

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 1Co 15:16-17 KJV

For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

You make a big deal of semantics.

1 John 2:2
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

But Jesus definitely answered for sin. All sin. There is no sin that His blood cannot cover except the rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit.

But don’t be upset with me. You believe that I was ordained to believe this way.

If you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, then that shows you to be elect. Paul wrote to the Christians at Ephesus:

3 Blessed be]the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, (Ephesians 1)

Incidentally, I think it would have bee more accurate to say that 2 Calvinists, not Calvinism, that made you doubt.
