I really doubt that the President of the United States is interested in reading millions of emails each day. The law enforcement community might, but even then, the emails will go through electronic screening before any human lays an eye on it. That is because there is not enough manpower to read every email. I imagine the only emails that will actually be read by a human are those that fit a certain profile.

Honestly I believe this has been going on for years, even back to the Clinton days, but I could be wrong about that. But I don't think so...

 

If I understand the issue correctly, Congress passed a law, then Bush added a "signing statement" which not only extended what Congress legislated, but was contrary to the law itself.

Since the executive branch is prohibited from creating laws, I doubt this would hold up if it were challenged all the way.

You are only in danger if you attempt to send segments of the book, "My Pet Goat." This is one book Bush is familiar with.

 

At least since WW2 Americans have been ruled by executive orders, at least half of them secret.
