He's doing a sermon in July and he wanted to get a broad base of people to quesiton and I figured I'd ask on all the boards I go on! Can you answer his question below? I'll let you know what his basic message is (once he figures it out! LOL). Thanks!

Annie

Micah 6

6With what shall I come to the LORD
And bow myself before the God on high?
Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings,
With yearling calves?

7Does the LORD take delight in thousands of rams,
In ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts,
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

8He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?

there were a precious few people in the Bible--Abraham, Isaac, David, Job, and a couple more--who, when they died, were described as being "old and full of years."

I want to be "full of years"--having lived a life that couldn't hold another moment.

Simply to hear "Well done thou good and faithful servant," from my Lord and Savior!
I would agree, a live that would end with this statement from God would be a life well lived.
I don't think it would have anything to do with length of life, or even activities in life (I mean what about those who had short lives, who never had money or access to activities) but faith in God, a faith lived, an active relationship with Him.

"Describe whay you consider a life well lived"

Obedience and a willingness to serve...
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Who should I send? Who will go for Us? I said: Here I am. Send me.
