    Yes it is eh?

Do you like to eat fish? If so, you need to be catching yellow lake perch, they are the best eating fish ever, eh?

Try Lake Erie, 40 a day per person is the catch limit still I think.

Just for interest sake, "eh" is not Canadian. It was brought to Canada by first world war soldiers who picked it up in northern England, where "eh" is used to complete a sentence all the time. It did catch on by many Canadians,,sadly so! It is almost as bad as "you know".

Now, there were thousands of visitors in Ottawa to-day to see the Prince and Princess. They ignored their schedule and took the time to shake hands with and engage in conversation with the people.

The prince also handed out citizenship papers to new citizens to-day. I bet they will never forget the day they became Canadian.

I am absolutely amazed at these royals.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I see. When I lived there it was said by nearly everyone. We always equate it with being Canadian.

    O Canada!
    Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
    From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Happy Dominion Day! I have a deep affection for our friends to the North. My wife's family hails from Brantford, Ontario. When I was a child we spent our summer vacations in Quebec mostly visiting Parc Jarry to watch the Expos. The cultures are quite different between the Provinces but that is what makes the country such a pleasure to visit.

Hockey has always been big in Central NY. The games always opened with both anthems. I learned the words to O Canada almost as early as our own anthem. Never learned God Save the Queen. That was before my time. :wavey:
