All Trump is proving is that he is not that good a negotiations.

The world is finding out they do not need USA. Good place to sell to but can not trust what they say. Signed deals mean nothing to that child.

Lol....we'll see.

Personally, I'm optimistic for the U.S.

Our biggest threat is not Trump it is Carney and the Lib's.

FYI, I take no pleasure at all in what's happening to the good folks of Canada, I've always considered that you are friends, but, business is business regardless of friendship, and this is what a lot of this is about (other than the US is trying to save itself from insolvency).

The USA is just proving that there are unreliable and do not hold a signed agreement as something to honor.

Business with out integrity is not business it is just mob rule, each man for himself.

Does NAFTA allow Canada to tariff the U.S., but not the U.S. to return in kind?

"One of the main results of the Agreement is the elimination of tariffs between Canada, Mexico and the United States on nearly all qualifying goods by the year 2003. Chapter 5 of the Agreement attempts to ensure that customs procedures will facilitate trade flows as much as possible."

And then Trump choose to ignore that rule. As I said USA can not be trusted to hold to signed agreements and you just proved it.

Remember he is the one that started the tariff war. The man can't even get the numbers straight. He just throws out those numbers and some people believe it.

sorry, I think I meant Alberta, I always try to think Alberta is that middle one in normal Canada. Mantobia is probably the least normal of the three.

this thing replaced NAFTA a few years back:

don't really see much difference here from the old one. Look at the GDP, America's is a monster compared to the other two, so a trade war will probably be much harder on them.

I heard PP closed very weakly, and I think many underestimated Carney. Another theory:

Liberals won 80% of high-immigrant districts in Canada Canada's population is now 25% foreign-born, and set to increase This is what they want for America
