Are you

Latest reports show the economy is during quite well. Cartoon seems to be mistaken, thank goodness.

An economist now? Come visit California, and see Obamanomics at work. You know, where everyone that once had good paying jobs are now on welfare learning to a new career in "Entitlements!"

Not Obamacare friend, but the drought is costing California hugely.

The California economy could lose $2.2 billion this year because of the drought. That’s according to a UC Davis study that shows the agriculture industry alone could lose $1.5 billion.

But even at that the unemployment rate is declining. It is not at a great number and is above the national average, but it is declining.

"Latest reports..."

I expect that there are still many Friday-afternoon press releases showing "unexpected" negative numbers and reports touting dubious results to be made public in the next couple years.

Until then, take advantage of the high tide.

The future is hard to know.

Those numbers do not include those who are no longer eligible for unemployment and since fallen off the rolls of unemployed. If you want true numbers you look at the increase in welfare recipients, something the WH is hiding. We badly need the WH and Congress to bring back the old jobs training program CETA, to get America back to work and off entitlements. You know this is true but your bromance with Obama keeps you from admitting it.....
