My friend, Casey Kent, was badly injured in a skateboarding accident recently, and died over the weekend. Going over the guestbook, it looks like a lot of Christians were in his life, and I know he quit drinking and cut his hair really short, and a lot of folks are convinced that he is with the Lord.

But while he was with us, he was building some of the finest guitars on the market. You could get one of his lower end models for about $3200, but I'm sure the price will go up, now. He was a great picker, and really nice, tall, athletic, but very unassuming guy.

Take a minuite, if you like finer acoustic instruments, to paruse his site.

So sorry to hear about Casey's accident and death, Bro. Curtis.

Those are really nice guitars. I especially like the Brazilian Rosewood Dreadnaught.

Thanx, everyone. The memorial service was really something. People had flown from all over the world, and put their guitars that he had built all in a long row. There was his pastor who gave a very short rememberance of him, and his mom, who just knocked me over with how much faith she had. We played some music, but a lot of us had to leave & do gigs elsewhere. We met his wife, and their daughter, and she also has one on the way. All in all, a very encouraging time. Casey was 35, and my wife had lost her 28 year old son, just 5 months ago, so she really recieved a lot from this.

Glad to hear it was an encouraging, faith oriented memorial service. I'm so sorry about your wife's loss too, Bro. Curtis. I apologize for not catching that earlier. In these perilous times, it's wonderful to feel Christ's presence and to know that HE is in control ...

Thanks, PJ. I've kept her son's death pretty close, until just a while ago.
