It's a little too far of a drive for me. :)

I wouldn't walk across the street to see a rock concert, much less drive 3 and a half hours.

Remember that SFIC when you get to Heaven, and you have to cross Hallelujah blvd. and on the other side are bands like CC, or Third Day....

Or are you going to be in the hymns only section...
    Thank you for your opinion...
My opinion is I like them.

From what I can read from Scripture Rock and Roll will not be in heaven... it feeds the fleshly lusts.

Well then, I guess my flesh lusts after God because that bands' music makes me worship God big time. That's why I listen to them. When people see me driving they probably think I've lost my mind.

I wouldn't exactly classify Casting Crowns as "Rock"

Come to think about it ---- I believe they're in a class of their own

If I had to class them ----- easy contemporary

We saw CC two years ago with Bldg 429. It was FANTASTIC - you won't be disappointed. It is one big worship service. Can't wait to go to another one!

I concur, my friend. They're definitely in a class on their own.

I saw them then too... with Tony Nolan as Speaker.

You are right, one big worship service...

Sorta what Heaven will be like...

3000 people singing praises to God...

I can't wait until Thursday. I was just sorta hoping some from BB would be there too.

Sounds like someone's just itching to start a quarrell...

What's sad to me is not that your post is critical, but that it is critical and uninformed.

Man, I wish I could go! I love them.

DH and my 2 teen girls just went to see David Crowder band and they said it was amazing too.

There really IS nothing like thousands worshipping together. It brings tears to my eyes to just get that small glimpse of what heaven will be like.

Reactionary post self-edited. Opinions on any style of music would be classified as a non-essential, and for that reason, I will not debate your opinion on this. Suffice it to say, I disagree.

Wish I could Tim. I've seen them twice, and was really excited. One of my new favorites is "The Altar and the Door."

    THE ALTAR AND THE DOOR
    Mark Hall (C) 2007

    Careless, I am reckless
    I’m a wrong-way-travelin’-slowly-unraveling shell of a man.
Burnt out, I’m so numb now
That the fire’s just an ember way down in the corner of my cold, cold heart.

Lord, this time I’ll make it right, here at the altar I lay my life!
Your kingdom come but my will was done, my heart is broken as I...

Cry, like so many times before,
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor!
O Lord, I try but this time, Jesus, how can I be sure
I will not lose my follow through between the altar and the door?

Here at the altar, oh my world's so black and white,
How could I ever falter what You’ve shown me to be right?

Lord, this time I'll make it right, here at the altar I lay my life!
Your kingdom come but my will was done, my heart is broken as I...

Cry, like so many times before,
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor!
O Lord, I try but this time, Jesus, how can I be sure
I will not lose my follow-through between the altar and the door?

I’m trying so hard to stop trying so hard.
Just let You be who You are, Lord, who You are in me.
Jesus, I’m trying so hard to stop trying so hard!
Just let You be who You are, Lord, who You are in me!

O Lord, I cry, like so many times before,
But my eyes are dry before I leave the floor!
O Lord, I try but this time, Jesus, how can I be sure
I will not lose my follow-through between the altar and the door?

    Or

    Slow Fade

Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

    CHORUS:
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
    When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

    It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

    CHORUS

The journey from your mind to your hands
    Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
    You just might be sinking

    CHORUS

Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

*Oh be careful little eyes what you see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see*

I didn't realize Casting Crowns was rock music. I must be getting senile.

    Dear Lord,
I :praying: that you will remove the stripe that is suddenly appearing all the way from my head to my toes! I love Casting Crowns...they were close to here in November, but hubby and I couldn't afford to go see them. :tear:
