Actually, studies have shown no increase in oxytocin in cats during interactions with humans. On the other hand, during interactions with humans and even for a while after, the oxytocin levels in dogs spikes. What does this mean? That your cat does not love you at all, while your dog does.

Hm. I don't know. I had one cat that was especially close to me, and cried when I left for two weeks once. My family told me that she spent the entire time in the window watching for me to return. She also used to comfort me when I cried. (She'd rub up against me and offer to let me pet her. Once I was no longer crying she'd get up and leave.)
It is far easier to connect to dogs. They seem to desire the companionship a lot more. I miss having a dog.
