Look at my avatar. Do you have to ask?

Here's my favorite cat quote.

"In ancient Egypt, the cat was revered as a god. The modern housecat, you can be rest assured, has not forgotten this."

Both! Forgot to include "both" on questionaire. We have had as many as 9 dogs and 22 cats in house at the same time.........all rescued.

Cheers,

Jim

To have that many pets in one house(or property) in our town you'd have to have a kennel license, at $300. a year.

I'm a dog person but live in a house with 2 cats (they belong to the landlady).

My favorite breed is a German Shepherd - I had one and she was the best dog ever. I still miss her after 22 years!

We have two black cats, a chocolate lab, and a fish.

My cat is named Shadow... He is a true warrior. He had a 'fight' with my wifes car when he was about six weeks old, lost a tail and gutted himself from head to the back legs. He recovered and has drug everything but a bull moose up on the porch the past four years. He fights all cats and most dogs. When I am home he is almost always by my side, sleeps in the crook of my arm, sets in my lap, etc etc.

yeah I guess I'm a cat person.. but its really just that cat.

With 8 dogs and having trained two dogs in for obedience and agility competition I have to say I am a dog person. :) However, I had a cat named Angelique(after the character on "Dark Shadows") for 13 years in the 1980s and 1990s(I have her picture by my computer).

I'd prefer a dog over a cat; however, where I live they charge you an extra fee if you have either one (or both), thus I have neither one.

Dogs- particularly Labs, which is what I have. Oh and no poodles, they are not dogs.

And cats are evil, just look at their eyes- yup evil I say.

Really for me it is a personality thing. You can treat a dog well; feed him, pet him, play with him; and he thinks: "Boy this person is a king to treat me like this, I will be his friend and serve him my whole life."
But you do the same with a cat and it thinks: "Ah, I am most certainly a king to be treated with such respect by much subjects."

Cats because we like cats. Mine is named Sipowicz because she is both investigative and mouthy... just like the TV detective.
