    ok ok - i know you're basically all americans (excluding those who are not americans... :tongue3: )

    any of you heard of this? http://www.ccsb.ca - any part of it?

    i just have to ask cause its southern baptists in the north... :thumbs:

    Heard of what, the statue or the northen SBC? I knew there were SBC in Canada but never thought anything about it, we're in alot of countries.

    This is not a shot at Billy Graham, but, I wonder if the Apostle Paul would have appreciated a statue. (I doubt it) I wonder how tall their statue of Jesus Christ is?

    First, are you advocating graven images of Christ?

    Second, unless Nashville has moved to Canada, that is our statue, not theirs.

    Third, to the OP, yes, I have heard of the CCSB.

    Never heard of em but it makes good sense. I did'nt look do they have a seminary up in Canada?:wavey:

    i havn't a clue if they have a seminary up here. im sure they do.

    all's i know is that the church i attend is part of the ccsb.

    i just wanted to lighten up the forum a little in this area. :)

    Yes, the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary is in Cochrane, Alberta, headed by Richard Blackaby, whose father Henry you will likely know as the "Experiencing God" author. Look at www.csbs.edu for more information.

    Our church and pastor have a partnership with the CCSB and the seminary. We have been very impressed with the passion and efforts of the folks up there. The only "silly" little peeve I have with the CCSB is the reference to "southern" baptists. This ought to illustrate the need to get away from simplistic regional monikers.
