Yesterday, 18 March 2006 was the third
anniversery of the American (and their
    minor coalition) incursion into Iraq.
Only 57 more years intil the FINAL VICTORY
party. A occupied Iraq makes for
    a safer world.

I see that the American deaths remain
below 1,000 per year for the Iraqi Freedom
    March. Much better 'sacrifice' than
4,000 unborn babies a day for
    'free love'.

Some people think that the waste of "only" 1,000 lives a year is still a bad thing. The war not only made the world less secure for America, it also kills thousands of our best young people.

Why is this "better" than abortion?

Yeah, we won the war but we can't stop the terrorists in Iraq.

Try to figure out what I said as an
    arithemetic statement.
    1,000/year &lt; 4,000/day

Every 12 years we kill enough of our own unborn
babies to equal the population of Iraq.
It is about time we did something honest
    in the world.

If the average life of Iraqis is
70 years, then 350,000 will die each year.

189,000 in three years deaths would be 63,000 a year
killed in Iraqi violence (most of it domestic or
    imported from neighboring Islamic states)

under 18% of Iraqi haved died in war causes.

    82% die of natural causes.
    What is the problem?

Our presence in Iraq is not stopping a terrorist from entering the United States.

Iraq has proven to be a debacle.

</font>[/QUOTE]I think you totally missed what I was saying.

If a terrorist from an Islamic state blows
up a target in Iraq, then they cannot use the
same bomb to blow up something in
the USofA. If a suicide bomber blows themselves
up in Iraq, then they do not blow themselves
    up in the USofA.

What the USofA has done in Iraq is the
premier action for the good of the Earth
they have done this century. [IMG]

While any loss of life is a tragedy, that our military has accomplished its task while holding American deaths to under 1000 a year is an amazing accomplishment. Our military leaders and troops deserve our respect and praise for this alone.

Look at any other war in history and tell me that more has been done with less loss of life (friendly or enemy). You can not. Look at WW2, D day 6,000 dead in one morning. Vietnam 200+ Americans killed in one of the worst days. Now look at this war.

And they deserve this chance to live in a country with the goverment of their choosing. They deserve to be free from Sadam and they are paying in there lives for that oppertunity. Just like we did in the Revelutionary war. And every country who has won their freedom from any other country.

Most Iraqis are thankful for the oppertunity we are trying to give them. The drive by news media only wants to focus on those iraqis who want us dead.

I'm still not understanding why abortion justifies the deaths of thousands of American troops.

Providing another base for terrorism? How is that a good idea? We're heading for a trillion dollars, over 2000 dead troops, and the country is more dangerous now than ever. The big debate is whether the conflict between Iraqis has reached the level of a civil war or not.

I think what Ed is saying is that we are focused on 1000 deaths a year of troops who enter into a job they know is dangerous. While at the same time we kill 4000 inocent babies a day without so much as a word being said.

Ya. Iraq was a peace loving, friend of America under Sadam. We had to go and spoil that.

What is this obsesion about money. We spent more then that on that worthless drug benifit program. Is it all about money then tell us how much is it worth to provide Iraq the oppertunity to goveren themselfs.

Wether they have civil war or not is on them. I am of the opinion that they should have split into three countries like they were before there was an Iraq in the first place. In any matter they are free of sadam and free to work it out for themselfs.

Some Americans are perfectly fine, sitting in the cheap seats, listening to the popular voice of the day, sipping their Starbucks, and just taking whatever they hear on the radio or tv as gospel on the topic of Iraq (wahhh its a debacle!).

And some of us are pretty darn glad that we now know for sure what is over there and what is not. I think that makes America more safe.

Detroit is more dangerous then any country. But I would rather live there then under saddam's rule.

    You?

Although the media keeps trying to say there are no weapons, we have good reason to believe there were, and we don't know where they were moved to and hidden. Here's a good example. I know it's not new, but it's relevant.

    Weapons Cache Found

Um, we learned that there were no WMD. We knew there were weapons. "Aging artillary shells" are not WMD.

Actually, at one time Saddam was a friend of America. At least at the time when this photo was taken showing Donald Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand. He was such a friend that we gave him weapons.
