I work for a large corporation, up until today they have not censored religious web sites. Today I attempted to access baptistboard.com and I get a restricted access message. I found that strange. Then I try to lookup any kind of religous website. They are all blocked by the company's filtering software. I then do a google search for gay and lesbian and click on a couple of gay/lesbian website, they come up no problem. What is the world coming to? I am not very happy about this.

Sometimes corporations moniter PC's and what web pages are most frequented. They then block those believing that too much work time is spent doing personal surfing. I would be careful about clicking on ANY gay/lesbian/sexual content sites. If they do moniter what you are going to, you could lose your job.

I don't know...maybe they feel religion has no place in the workplace...or at the least, on their computers. They aren't censoring anyone because no religious website is accessible. The fact that they allow one to search gay/lesbian websites does seem strange.

I ask what this world is coming to as well when people can't rent apartments or stay at a bed and breakfast because they are not Christians. It looks like it goes both ways.

And what are you doing surfing the web at work?
[IMG] I wish I was allowed to do that at work.

It's their computers. They are paying for access and can set it up anyway they want. We have no right to ask anything more (we can ask but, they are free to say, "no"). At my work they have their own intranet and the regular internet cannot be accessed at all. They have, in effect, censored the entire www. Fair enough...rats!. [IMG]

All for you [IMG] . It runs web pages through a PHP-based proxy. Feel free to try it out.

It won't work if their servers filter by keywords, but if they filter by IP address or domain name, then you should slip through.

    Cix,

I hear you and am praying with you.

It does say a lot about the world's view, and yes, the persecution of Christians has increased, and will continue to increase in the years to come.

    God bless you.
