CGI Help..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    I have a program I am trying to get installed, it is so i can offer free christian message/prayer boards from my site
    I am very new at cgi, installed an ecard server easily, but that was simply chmoding everything correctly and designing the site
    this program I need to set paths and urls, have no clue what the difference is.
    i see home/.. and http://... maybe thats it
    when I call up the script i get a 500 error. Ive checked the chmod, changed one to 777 as directed, but nothing.

    Are you sure you have enough bandwidth to host message boards on your site? Especially cgi-based boards are very bandwidth intensive.

    Maybe you should at least try one of the PHP-based boards.

    The url is, obviously, the url - I imagine that it asks for the url of your homepage so you fill that bit in with it.

    The path is either the absolute or relative path to the scripts on your webserver

    ie. an absolute path may look like this

    c:\linda\bboard\scripts\

    a relative path is the path to the script relative to the home directory of your website - if linda was the root directory a relative path would look something like this:

    /bboard/scripts/

    hope that helps and that I have not totally misunderstood your problem!
