Changing The Word of God.

In the book of Leviticus, we see how God feels about having His Word changed, without His instruction to do so. Aaron's two sons were killed because they added incense to an offering.

The Word of God came to us, by way of 'anointed' children of God. The children of Israel, their kings, prophets, priests, apostles, and Christ Himself, were all anointed. The KJV Bible was created through the decree of King James (Common Book of Prayer, plus changes, that I assume to have been inspired by God.). Who 'anointed' the authors of all of these different 'bibles' that we have today?

It is written, that we will return to the days of Noah. Have our ministers become modern day scribes and Pharisees? Is satan the author of these new 'bibles'?

I have read parts of several of these new 'bibles'. The changes in some cases, are very dramatic, when compared to the KJV Bible. Whole scriptural meanings have been changed (edited). We now have a situation, that ministers are speaking in 'different languages', and every 'bible' is being called The Word of God. If this was true, then they should all be exactly the same, resulting in these new 'bibles' being irrelevant. They do not agree with each other. It is creating confusion among God's Sheep. It also provides our enemies of The Word, with 'ammunition' to bolster their own beliefs and argue against Christianity. The Christian ministry has destroyed conformity. The Word of God is now, 'all over the map'. :jesus:

Oh boy......

The KJV Bible states that 'The Word of God' IS GOD! Does it not stand to reason, that if I change The Word, that in fact, I worship a different 'god'? Which 'bible' is the true one????????????? :jesus:

One if not the most damaging thing that has ever befell the Church, is the proliferation of so-called versions of Scripture.

Another 'item' of concern, is the creation of so many different 'denominations', that are all calling themselves 'Christians'. Even this forum splits Christians into 'Baptists' and 'others'. This is absurd. By doing so (and other denominations do the same), each denomination has interpreted their own denomination, as being the 'correct one'. Should we not all stand as ONE? :jesus:

I'm a KJVO kind of guy and all I can say is...please just stop. Please just leave.

If Thor keeps it up he won't be around until Thursday (his namesake).

Though the OP is way out there...Mods it should be moved to a more appropriate forum.

Please compare the NIV study bible to the KJV Bible in regards to the following three verses;

1) Numbers 12:6 (This is the proof that someone is anointed as a prophet) The NIV changes the wording from singular, to plural.

2) 1 John 5:7 (deleted in the NIV)

3) Revelation 13:10 (The KJV states an 'if...then' situation. The NIV changes this to basically, 'whatever will be, will be').

The above, are only examples. Other 'bibles', are even worse. As a Christian, you should be ready to give up your life, if required, in order to protect The Word of God. Ask the authors of the different 'bibles', who anointed them for the purpose of changing/editing God's Word. :jesus:

I am doing what God told us to do. Compare what others are telling us, to the scriptures in the Bible. Make certain, that the minister that you are being taught by, is not 'blind'. If in doubt, ASK GOD IN PRAYER!

I have been asked to leave many forums. The scripture tells us, that if they threw the master out, they will surely throw you out. Which of you, or your ministers, have been thrown out of 'the church',...especially their own church? When God gives you wisdom, others will not believe you. You simply 'wipe your feet, and walk away'. If others wish to fall into the ditch...sobeit. :jesus:

HP: Just curious as to why you would request that and to which forum would you find it to be more appropriate and why?

COOL! One thing that others have not taken note of. If we try to interpret old scripture writings, we have to know what the 'true' meanings of the old words were, versus possible 'poetic' uses of the same word.

If I were to take the word 'murder', as we understand this word's meaning to be today, and think how someone will interpret our use of this word, 2,000 years from now, I would have to include the 'true' meaning versus the 'poetic' meaning. We all know that this word means to take someone's life, even though we should not do so. This word is also used, as follows;

1) Team A 'murdered' Team B

2) He 'murdered' the song

3) etc.

How many of the new 'bibles' have translation problems based on the above interpretation problem? :jesus:

Acts 8:35-38
King James Version (KJV)

35Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 8:35-38
New International Version (NIV)

35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” [37] [a] 38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.

Footnotes:
a.Acts 8:37 Some manuscripts include here Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” The eunuch answered, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

:BangHead:
The most important part of this scripture has been reduced to a footnote. I tried to find a list of the wise scholars of the NIV, but could not find one as of yet. In 1966 100 un-named theologians gathered together to shed new light through a new translation of the Greek text. Draw your own conclusion.

The most important part of this scripture has been reduced to a footnote.

From part of the NET notes:"It is clearly not a part of the original text of Acts. The variant is significant in showing how some in the early church viewed a confession of faith."

The Majority Text excludes it also. "Verse" 37 is just a created gap-filler.

I am not fond of all modern versions but this is the type of inane babbling the discredits the KJV only hoopla.(by the way neither am I KJV only which is an absurd position) I am sorry to be so blunt but you my friend need a severe does of reality. The indoctrination you have been victim to is very sad.

The Bible (the written Word of God) and Jesus (the Living Word of God) are not one and the same. You my friend border on complete heresy and Bible worship. You lack severe personal judgment and reasoning skills needed to speak on the value of scripture. Put your white hanky away and find some personal critical thinking skills that will provide needed discernment and an open heart the Holy Spirit.

It is still taking out the most important part, God put it there. Satan took it out.

Make yourself plain and simple. What exactly is it? What is the most important part.

My next question is : Do you think Satan is more powerful than God?
