2 Kings 6:17

New International Version (NIV)

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Can anybody venture an answer as to who do you think the horses and chariots of fire were?

A follow up question I have is, " Do you think God ever provides this kind of protection for us today and if so how?"

Celestial beings....ready to do battle! Wow, I find that amazing. I wonder if some of us poor slobs, thinking we are alone & vulnerable actually have similar beings here, sent by God, to help us.....we just dont have the eyes to see.

Ive been trying to be vigillant & obedient to the Lord regarding bringing this community to christ but I keep getting thwarted.....but the Lord is my Shephard Right!

10 “Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.

The "little ones" are Christians (faith of a little child). While I can't say and don't really see in scripture that each of us have what we call a guardian angel, it is clear from Jesus' statement that angels have our interests in mind and are always with the Father regarding that. So yes, I believe that angels do minister to us, although unseen.

(personal note: I do pray sometimes for angels to protect people)

(another thought LOL, we as co heirs with Christ receive all that He has. So it's possible that angels minister to us as they did with Him while He was on earth.)

Yep.... I like that. A big character flaw I see in myself is the need to control & be in control. Its wonderful to know someone's got you covered.
