Charles Stanley: Cheap Grace or Lordship?

His book Eternal Security has lots of similarities to some of Erwin Lutzers books on the same subject and may confirm the Cheap Grace doctrine. However what baffles me is that I have about 5 podcasts on my Mac where he contradicts what he wrote in that book and speaks allot like John MacArthur about there being false converts, people that think they are saved but are not, and so forth. He does not say nor confirm easy believism or cheap grace, but speaks more in lines of the Lordship debate. Has anyone heard such podcasts?

Just sort of lurking through BB, with a few exceptions, but lately you have posted attacks either by yourself or by those you've read about Stanley, Lutzer, Jeremiah and fundamentalists.

Did I miss something or is there a new spiritual gift called "criticism/attacks"? :tonofbricks:

he is a 4 pointer Arminian, and his real bad teaching is the exclusion from Millinium one...

I'm not seeing these alleged attacks. Questions and a call to dialogue, but no attacks.

Your response seems rather emotional and an attack in itself.

You need to work on your reading. I am in no way attacking Stanley, Jeremiah, nor Lutzer. I love them!!!

Exactly. He did not read what I wrote.

Yup. And then we have the 'rev' who will not serve you in a profitable engagement of dialogue. Such an one is attempting to make an entrance.

Choose your battles wisely John. Avoidance would be more profitable for you in this instance.

ALL who are saved got Hima s their Lord/saviour, no need to "lordship" Him, that is what he automatically is to us!

problem is that some of us take longer to realise and have Him in a practical sense lord over our lives!

Cheap grace or lordship? This is akin to me asking you if you only beat your wife or do you beat your daughter too?

He is neither.
