The text is John 14:6

and how there is no other way but through Jesus.

No matter what image people have of God..

 

Jesus is the only icon (image) of God made by God to be worshiped.

All other icons are idols, images made by human hands with the frailties of humanity built in: they are poor imitations of the One and True Icon in Flesh, Jesus Christ.

I reckon you will preach it come Sunday!

In season or out of season. There is only One that can contain the Glory of God the Father in the Flesh. The God-man, Christ-Jesus is the wisdom of God in His simplicity that will confound the wise, so that the works of the wise will judge them against the work of God in Flesh. And at His name, every knee shall bow. The angels marvel that God would choose to visit the earth (incarnation) when He could never rest his head on a down pillow fluffed by the hotel staff, and shower off the dirt and manuer from a hard days walk from Nazereth to Jerusalem.

I can understand the lack of CNN, and the lack of a decent bed - but to choose not to shower while on this Earth is, in itself, a miracle. Only God could so love the world that He would go 33 years without a shower. WHEW! That took courage and determination.

And people want it all to make sence. As soon as they can explain why God would choose to go 33 years without AC and showers, I will explain the Trinity to them in 300 words or less.
