Personally I don't see why we would leave them an old t-shirt when we are leaving them all our money. Maybe I should start a new thread but how much does your church have in a savings account? The church I pastor has over $72,000.00 to leave to the anti-christ. I know what you are saying....get rid of it, give it away. I'm working on it, I'm working on it!

I believe in the Rapture. I do not believe in making a buck off of it.
I suppose catholics have relics and baptist have
rapture wear? I don't need to "wear" scripture verses to be reminded how to live expecting the eminent return of Christ.
On top of that it is seriously cheesy.
The pharisees used to wear scripture. Kept it under their hats and also close to their hearts inside their garments didn't make much difference now did it?
Selling cheap, chinzy, cheesy merchandise in the name of the Gospel. Give me a break.

I didn't see any t-shirts I personally cared for, but I don't see anything wrong with someone wearing a scriptured shirt or t's that profess their faith. I've had several conversations that turned into invitations to my church because of my t-shirts. My opinion.

It's kinda funny that many who go gaga over this type of attire are also the ones who condemn contemporary music in church. Seems a bit hypocritical.

I concur with I'm4Given. While there is some decent and appropriate attire of this nature out there, it sometimes borders on the ridiculous, but I don't see anything wrong with someone wearing a shirt with scripture or a testimony, etc.

I thought it was hilarious. But I agree with Shiloh, the AC and FP will have plenty of loot for the One World Religion that Baptist churches and others leave behind for them.

When the rapture comes, methinks some are going to be surprised at how many baptists are left behind, and how many nonbaptists aren't.

    Johnv

why would that site have any bearing on whether Baptists will be the only people in heaven or not?

I didn't think it was a baptist website, and none of the items seemed to imply such a thing.

Let me add, I thought it was kind of cute, I see nothing to call us hypocrites over in it, and the ladies who first looked at it and responded were just having fun with it. Now ya'all come in and act like you need to turn it into something ugly having to do with how much money your church has in a bank account and whether or not others think only baptists will be in heaven.

    Its shameful, my brothers.

With junk like this why are we puzzled that non-believers don't take believers serious!

Yeah, Jesus died on the cross so we could wear t-shirts (probably made in some sweat-shop somewhere by a 10 year old) that are "cute" and "cool". Does anyone out there think this stuff through?

    Gotochurch,

I'm with ya. Having shirts or things that are tasteful is one thing although it is still not my thing. I just think it kind of cheapens the message. The stuff I can't stand is the shirts that say stuff like "His pain your gain" that kind of stuff. These piffy little sayings that are just really cheesy.
I do kind of scratch my head and wonder about my fundamentalist brothers who would denounce going to see things like "the Passion" but think buying cheesy jewelery or lame t-shirts etc... is somehow different? (I haven't seen the Passion btw). Both are just ways to make money. It really is. If there was no market for those kinds of trinkets etc... then folk would not be peddling their wares.

Anybody here ever see the "testamints"? You know the breath mints with scripture verses on the wrapper. Gotta like those.
