I really should have uploaded accounts of our five years in China earlier than this. Part of the problem is the tremendous opportunities we have had to travel since we left China in 2017. Only some of those destinations made it into this blog. Well, better late than never.

This entry will be on our time in Chengdu and for the next one I plan to write about our side trips to nearby Dujiangyan and Qingchengshan.

Learned to LOVE real Chinese food in our travels. We were in the north but then overflew to Hong Kong (a few months before "return" to China) so missed many regions/foods. Appreciate reading your take on the country

Thanks! We really miss Chinese food, especially Sechuan and Dongbei ("northeast"). We spent half a year in Jilin and 4 and a half years in the Dalian area. I also wrote about our first exposure to China in the links below:
