Ads Criticized for Removing "Easter" from Egg Hunt
the Most Rev. and Rt. Hon. Dr. John Sentamu, the Church of England's Archbishop of York and Primate of All England....lamented that omitting an explicit Easter reference was akin to “spitting on the grave” of John Cadbury, a Quaker who founded the company

Sentamu's position drew support...from Theresa May, the prime minister....even Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn protested the Easter omission.

The Archbishop of York is primate of England; the Archbishop of Canterbury is primate of all England.

But really: Is this a top-level issue for the archbishop to be taking on? I would have thought battling apostasy within the church would be a bit more important.

Of course, I also wondered why so many American evangelicals were so intent on propping up secular usage of "Christmas" when most Americans have exchanged the awe of the incarnation for a season of indulgence, useless gifts and feel-goodism that has little to do with Christianity.

BTW: I suspect the title is meant to echo the that of the "The Great British Baking Show."
