9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
    Hebrews 2:9

How do you get limited atonement out of every man?

Lol...I called it....read from 9-16....who does the passage say is the everyone
Vs 10...many sons unto glory...[not every single person]
    Vs10...the captain of their salvation
Vs11....they who are sancfified....[not every single person]
Vs11...He is not ashamed to call them brethren [the elect]..how do we know it is the elect in view? The passage continues. .
    Vs12....my brethren...
Vs 12.. in the midst of the church
13...I and the children which God has given me...
    Vs14...the children
Vs16...He took on Him ...THE SEED OF ABRAHAM.....[the elect]...not the seed of adam...[All fallen who remain in adam].
Let me know if you see how we get it now:Cautious:Cautious:Rolleyes

Too easy. the rest of those verses refer to those who become part of the elect (the new vessel which is the church).
and you still didn't answer 2:9. it says every man. the verses after it in no way take away from the every man part.

The rest of the verse refers to our brotherhood with Christ, which the Doobie Brothers also sang about in the bridge of Jesus Is Just Alright. Take a listen.

:Frown:Cautious:Ninja:Notworthy sure...by the way...it is everyone...not everyman, but I do not want to confuse you with the facts. You can ignore the verses to your own peril .

I don't get it from the Doobies, I'm saying their song is reflecting accurate theology found in Hebrews. He is the first born of resurrection. We are his brothers and sisters in it.

So if I don't believe in a Calvinist interpretation I'm in peril? I never believed Calvinists are lost.

You didn't mention Calvinism, but you and I are debating Calvinism vs Open Theism. Did I mention Open Theism here?

This song also proves calvinism to be false right?

    Rush Free Will
    "All preordained
    A prisoner in chains
    A victim of venomous fate
    Kicked in the face
You can't pray for a place
    In heaven's unearthly estate
You can choose a ready guide
    In some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide
You still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears
    And kindness that can kill
    I will choose a path that's clear
    I will choose free will"

Uh I know what one is. I also know what coffee addiction and cigarette addiction is, as well as what over eating and materialism are, some sins many Baptists are guilty of.
