But the lesser evil sentiment seems to prevail when you've got people acting as though the politicians will save us.
Why don't the Christians just align themselves with Christ? And if that means we don't get to vote for a candidate from either of the two major parties, big deal.
Why on earth do we support the lesser of two evils and then wonder why there is so much evil around us? If we're supporting it, why wouldn't it pervade?

"If my people, which are called by my name shall vote Republican..."
No, wait. That's not how it goes.
"If my people, which are called by my name shall vote for the lesser of two evils..."
No, wait. Let's try that again.
"If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land."
Christians today have lost faith in the God Who can part the Red Sea, told Gideon to battle the Midianites with 300 men (whom He did not even need), and had the Israelites win a battle for having Moses' arms lifted. Christians have become acolytes of secular "conservative" political personalities who have mortgaged their souls to the (secular) Republican party that descends year-by-year into godlessness and rides on the coattails of their opponents.
What we need to understand is "Do the Right Thing." If you think we have to compromise all the time to save ourselves through "pragmatism," I have to wonder where your trust really lies. Do you trust that God will honor people who serve
Him or is He biting His nails worried about what will happen if the worst guy gets elected by people who don't regard Him?
