Christian pole dancing--it is here!

I'm cleaning house and put the news on.

Sure enough, Christian pole dancing is here. A dance studio in Texas (?) is offering free pole dancing lessons on Sundays.

Proprietor says it is done to Christian music. It is free, since the owner doesn't want to make money on the Lord's day offering people another way to connect with God. Says it isn't about the sex.

God forgive us.

God help us.

I can just see it now.

Instruction - Training on...,

"How to present a Notice of Intent to rob a bank to the Teller with a Christian appearance".

"How to sell Drugs in an effort to Witness to the Lost".

"How to be a Christian while working in an Abortion Clinic".

Pole dancing in the privacy of your own home for your own spouse: go for it.

Being in a studio of other people (even if it's all women) to learn how to pole dance: ummmm - not so much

Calling it "Christian" because it's set to Christian music and is done on Sunday: :BangHead:

The blurb also said it is being announced on Sunday mornings at area churches.

I have no idea if everyone in the studio is female or if it is a mixed group.

What really sticks in my craw is calling it "offering another way to connect with Jesus."

What is the purpose...exercise? For your husband? Not sure what purpose it is supposed to serve

If churches can have dancing girls, then I guess it must be OK.

This is terribly sad to see. It is difficult enough dealing with the immodesty many Christian women sport in churches and public. But to seek to justify sensuality in this way shows the degree to which some who call themselves Christian have fallen.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
