I think one of the biggest dangers to accelerating the fall of the US is the increased idea of the melting pot. The more that folks think of themselves as something other than American first the faster the country will fall.

The melting pot idea, as I understand it, is an acceptable concept. The idea is that people come from many cultures and they melt into the new culture. They do this by becoming naturalized citizens and they give up their allegiances to their former nations in favor of an allegiance to this one. Illegal immigration does not encourage melting, it encourages the violation of the laws of one country and the maintenance of allegiance to the former country. If we are to pick and choose which laws are the ones worthy of following and which we can discard, then we will not have a nation of law but will have a lawless nation.
"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;" - 1 Peter 2:13
There is an ordinance that prohibits the illegal entry of foreign nationals into the United States of America and there is an expectation that this ordinance be abided by and that our leaders enforce it. If there is no desire to enforce it then our leaders should be honest and declare that the United States of America no longer exists and we are now a new nation with a southern border separating us from Guatemala and Belize rather than Mexico.
I also agree that Christians do not dislike Mexicans per se. The Mexican culture was once a proud, and strong Christian culture. However, they let Roman Catholicism into their midst which has effectively destroyed it. Now we have 20 million Roman Catholics crossing the border and with the first step they take into this nation they have become criminals. If they are unconcerned about one law, then why would they be concerned about other laws? Thus, we have multitude of rapes, manslaughter, murder of civilians, murder of police officers, drunkenness and all types of villainy. Then if the illegal runs to Mexico and is at risk of life imprisonment or capital punishment the Mexican government provides protection to their citizen. If a Mexican can come into the United States break her laws and then run back to Mexico then it would seem apparent that these individuals never melted.
