CHRISTIANS WHO HATE TRUMP

There are Christians who hate Trump. Let’s call it for what it is: hate. It is their hate—which is very strange for those who name the name of Jesus—that dulls their ability to see the inaccuracy of their comments and their myopic views.

One sanctimonious ranting Christian said, “There’s nothing Biblical about Trump.” Actually, there’s nothing Biblical about that statement. The prophet Daniel served Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel recognized the role that this pagan king played in God’s unfolding drama. The church’s ability to work with Trump is totally Biblical.

Now, I must clarify something, lest I incur the wrath of Trump supporters. I am not calling Trump a pagan king—I’m sure he is much more moral than his enemies realize—I am saying that if Daniel could work with the Nebuchadnezzar how much more can we work with the Donald.

I have tried very hard to figure out what causes believers to hate Trump. Our side won a long overdue and miraculous victory at the polls, and yet these believers choose to aid and abet the other side. Is it because their favorite “Christian” didn’t win? Is it a case of sour grapes? They didn’t require any President to be a squeaky clean pastor, until Trump.
Yes, his tweets can be a bit much. And okay, President Trump is not as smooth as Reagan…but, we don’t need smooth right now.

Here is something else that is really strange, (hypocritical is more like it): why didn’t these guardians of morality speak out against Obama? Franklin Graham was attacked for questioning Obama’s Christian Faith. They told him not to judge a brother. Hold that thought as we explore another question…

How could you not question Obama’s Christianity? Obama begged the question by dropping the Christian-card whenever it suited him (something Trump never does). Meanwhile, Barack fought for same sex marriage, late term abortion, gave billions to Iran, and was the most Biblically hostile President in our history.

So why do so many Christian leaders—who said it was wrong to judge Obama—judge Trump?

Many of them supported [President Obama], even though his policies and agendas were a direct war against God and His teachings, what was up with that?

I have tried very hard to figure out what causes believers to hate Trump.

Most of them are probably democrats to begin with.

The problem: The democrat party's agenda is incompatible with Christian beliefs. No Christian [should] have anything to do with such a Godless evil [plarform].

All of my Facebook friends post love for Jesus Christ and Donald Trump. I have never had the first Facebook friend post anything bad about either one.

Okay, voted for Trump,
I like how he had done many of the things he said he would do on the campaign trail.

BUT he is not an example of the type of man I would trust.
I wouldn’t have him over for dinner.

then again, he’s better than the one before him.

Hate him? no.... trust him... not so much.

Trump is for Trump.

Trump is for Trump.

Rob

Not entirely.

If he was, he would never put up with the abuse he has taken as president. He wouldn't run for a 2nd term.

And he would never have taken on the deep state to enact the things he has to reclaim this country for it's citizens. It's made his life as president a living hell as opposed to his life as a private citizen.

He could just ride the wave, but he hasn't. Instead, he has actually tried to fulfill his promises to the people who voted for him.

I would be glad to have Trump - or even Hillary over for dinner.
It would be an opportunity for me to ask questions and insist on an actual answer.

One of my favorite statements is "But that doesn't answer my question"

For example: Hillary, is it true that you cussed up a storm the night you lost the election"

(potential answer) Well, things were so crazy that night - I got talking to Tim Kaine and things
got out of hand.

Me: "But that doesn't answer my question" ...

Could be - my having been a radio talk show host has something to do with my thinking....

I couldn't eat with Hillary. I believe we have a Biblical command against that.

Why not?

What passage are you referring?

If I may, he must be referring to I Corinthians 5:11 -- But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

Did some quick checking - those we are not to associate - are those who call themselves Christians - but are actually living a sinful life.

Now, look at Jesus - he associated with all kinds of Sinners. ---- Now if Paul meant.......

I think non-anonymous socil media breeds pride and narcissistic behavior and mentality. Facebook is all about "me" and what "me" and "my" people are doing.

and thats how I view mega-churches - many people who attend are - in essence anonymous - and just get lost in the crowd.

Mega churches are about the small groups. You can be just as plugged in at a church with 3000 as you can be at a church with 30.

I don't hate President Trump, but I don't like him. I came back to Christ 3.5 years ago, after 3 years of backsliding, since then I have disdained Obama, he is a baby murderer by policy and supports lewd acts by policy. He has liberal Christian views too. Like Reynolds said, I'm not allowed to be friendly and social to him. Same with Hilary and Bill Clinton. I would never vote for such false brethren.

President Trump is someone I was on the fence about in 2016, I was certain he was as personally moral as Bill Clinton. Then after inauguration, I was won over by President Trump's policy.

However, the bible tells us to be wise with our speech and actions, to have no hint of impurity, to love our enemies, to bless and pray for our persecutors, and to be gracious with our speech.

I honestly wonder if I could eat with President Trump with a clean conscience. If he cursed, I'd point out it is sin. If he said something hateful about his enemies, I'd remind him to forgive as he has been forgiven. I can't be certain yet, but I do wonder if he would scorn me for doing so.

Also, as a final aside, it is clear President Trump has no plan for social conservatives to win on LGBTQ or abortion except the supreme court. I see that as foolish, since our victories won't last, just look at Ireland and it's "democratic reforms." We must convince the American people of the truth.

I want leaders that will fight for truth with all they are made of in devotion to Jesus Christ. It's what we need in these dark times. I doubt anyone in federal power in America will do so, except for some grumbling few like those that rally against persecution of Christians overseas.
