What do you do with your Christmas cards after the first of the year?

Throw them away, keep them for infinity, keep the cute ones for school projects,?

So what are some other things do you do with them?

Keep some special and unique ones to put under (between the glass really) my glass coffee table around Christmas/winter time. Cut up other ones to make gift tags.

Here in the UK we can recycle them in recycle bins at a variety of shops and supermarkets. That is where most of ours go. We do keep some - the home-made ones for example.
We are not sending many this year.

My wife uses them for crafts and stuff so she gets them all. I stay away from anything having to do with her crafts.

I put them in a plastic ziploc bag, and pack them away with my christmas decor. They're fun to look at year after year.

I generally keep them in order to ensure I send one the following year along with a 'round robin' letter.

Put them in a basket. Each Monday morning draw one out and pray for that person or family during the coming week.

We do this too, only we pull out a card each day and pray for them that day. After we do that, I let the kids make crafts with the pretty pictures on the cards.

The prayer is a terrific idea!

One year the head of our VBS craft dept asked weeks in advance for old Christmas cards and one of the many crafts we did with the children was make 3-D ornament balls. They turned out very pretty. I don't remember how to do them now but they were not hard and I'm sure the directions are on the internet somewhere.

I've still got one from last year, not sure what happened to the others. (I only got about four)!

This year, I've decided to send some to people I don't normally send them to, it'll make them feel good and I may even get some back.

I usually use them as gift tags the next year except for a few special ones that I keep.

I sent over 250 last year. I always make my own cards and personalize them, but this year (for the first time ever) I will not be sending any. Too many health issues here and too many drs to pay. :(

I know that those of you who get them from me each year will understand...
