Bush Admin doesn't do anything for the Christians, I think. They did nothing either for Darfur in Sudan, or Sulaweshi, or Ambon Island, or Christians who escaped from North Korea.

If there were any petroleum there, his policy would have been different.

I don't know about some of that. But if we can force South Africa to end Apartide, we can stop some other countries from wonton and consistent violence against christians.

It is not only USA but also almost all the countries in the world either persecute or oppose to Christian activities.

Even in Canada, only Catholics have the privilege to have Catholic Schools 100% funded by public money, while Protestant schools get no penny!, which was condemned by United Nations, to be corrected but still never corrected. In Quebec, distribution of tracts were challenged by Catholic severely and resolved only in Supreme Court.

I agree with you, but it isn't just Bush, it is all the wealthy countries. Find oil or gas and foreign policy abruptly changes in the interest of big oil. It only came to light after the giving away of Gaza, that Palestinians, Egyptians, and British (I believe it was) had already signed contracts for extracting and refining newly discovered gas wells off the coast of Gaza. That's why it was forced upon Israel to give it up by the Quartet. It wasn't about a Palestinian state, at all, IMO.

If you need more examples, I'll dig them up for you, to prove your premise is right on track.

Indonesia has quite a sizable amount of oil. Part of its issue with East Timor was the oil off the coast of East Timor, oil that is shared between East Timor and Australia. (basically AUstralia develops the feild, shares therevenue with East Timor, how equitable is a marrer of debate)

Part of the problem with Indonesia is that its the world's largest Islamic country population wise, but has a sizable minority of Christians in it, (mostly catholic). It is also an artificially created country, bein essentially what was the old Dutch empire in the far east. Amongst the various groups that make up Indonesia there are at least half a dozen independance groups running, all claiming to be ethnically different, and not part of Indonesia.

Christians often become the focus of violence, partly because they are a minority, partly because they get support from overseas christian organisations, and partly as Islam becomes militant in different regions.

    Regards
    Bob

The majority of the people of Israel supported withdrawing from Gaza. It wasn't forced on them.

I know you don't like the truth when it disagrees with your agenda, LadyEagle. That's just tough. ;)
