Song of Solomon 6:9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
My dove my undefil’d - my blood-wash’d bride -
The choice of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost -
One mystic body - one with Christ her Head,
Is ever precious to her Bridegroom's heart;
Free from impurity, as seen in me,
And hating the corruptions of the flesh -
Sin-spotted garments and defiling things;
My dove, endow’d with innocence divine,
Belov’d and loving - claim’d and claiming me.
She is but one elect redeemed Church -
The only one of high celestial birth;
Her mother is Jerusalem above,
And all the Church, of various members form’d,
Has equal int’rest in her cov’nant Head.
The only choice one, having life divine -
With choice endowments - gifts and graces rare -
Surpassing all that nature can bestow -
Eclipsing all that Pharisees can boast,
And dignified with high relationship.
In Greece or Rome - in England, France or Spain,
There's no true Church, but that which Jesus owns
In vital union with himself, her Head;
Redeem’d – regenerated – sanctified,
And cloth’d with his imputed righteousness.
