Larkin and his charts was brought up in another thread. I love Larkin and his book of charts. I cannot say I agree with all of them, but they do provide some interesting reading.

What do you think?

I think it sad that this engineer was seduced by the error of Darby/Scofield!

Maybe, maybe not.

I was saved in a dispensation church and always believed in dispensationalism, rapture and all. Then, a few months ago I started investigated preterism and found it to be intriguing. As of now, I have come to the conclusion that the Roman defeat of Jerusalem in AD 70 was a partial fulfillment with the final fulfillment coming after the Rapture during the Tribulation and cumulating in the Millennial reign of Christ.

Besides, those charts are great to look at!

You are living in the millennial reign of Jesus Christ!:jesus::godisgood:

I think Larkin did a tremendous work for his time. Of course there are things of his work one might take issue with; but they also might be things he would himself change if alive today and able to see prophecy unfolding as we can.

I realize there are some who totally disagree with the dispensationalism of Larkin and see the present time as the Millennial Reign of Christ.
However IMHO to do this would require adherence to some form of the Replacement Theology advanced by the Catholic church.
This I cannot do for, again IMO, it would make God a liar in that He would be forsaking all the physical promises He made to the Nation of Israel in the OT prophecies.

If we are living in the Millennium, I guess the evolutionists are (are) correct also!!:rolleyes:

You can guess that the evolutionists are correct but I'd have to disagree.

Not sure I follow. My post was in negative response the the statement that we are living in the millennium.

Didn't mean to be obtuse! (Sarcasm gone bad)

I was actually agreeing with you, and just adding the evolution bit as a spoof that we are definitely not in the millennium.

It is interesting that those who really believe strongly in a literal 1000 year reign, the Millennium, are often the most unclear about the actual details of it.

Wow, I am? I was hoping for so much more.

Seriously, this is one reason I cannot buy into preterism completely. Silly one-liners with no Scriptural support.

I don't see how any thinking Christian can call today the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ!

One of the convincing proofs for me that at least partial-preterism was right IMO was a careful study on cross-references in the last 3 chapters of Revelation, seeing where the original references came from, reading those in context, and then doing a thorough concordance word study and phrase study (like "new heavens and new earth", etc).

Feigned ignorance of scripural matters or your personal thoughts?

Your own words and not in response to me
!
I am but a simple man and quiet frankly I have no idea what those terms mean.
I would call myself a Bible Believing Christian who is a member of the local Southern Baptist Church because it more closely follows the doctrines, in which I believe, than any other church in my area.

I don't know what you mean by "charade" for I have only asked simple questions and my responses have been with scripture.
I will admit in the post from which you quoted, I did forget to mention the scriptural reference, to which I apologize.
Please find it below from Romans.
