ERCOT is talking about the “possibility” of this in Texas. The old request of setting thermostat to 78, turn off lights and unused appliances etc. etc.. but I agree with Reformed, there are many who just want to control every aspect of your life.
78? Good grief, that ain’t happening in my Haus!

ERCOT is totally under the control of the Republicans who control Texas. They don't want federal regulation, so they won't connect Texas to the rest of the nationwide grid, nor do they want to regulate our own electric grid to ensure it will meet the needs of Texans.

Regulation is often a very good thing, but the Texas Republican Party is so focused on undermining the capability of citizens to vote, and stripping away gun laws, that they won't act to require upgrades and higher standards to the electrical grid.

Those that would enslave others use myth to sidestep truth. Back in the day, Blacks would said to be animals and thus could be owned like cattle. It was a myth.

Ask yourselves today, what are the myths pushed by the godless left?

1) The scientific certainty of man-made global warming.

2) Make do with less water, power, gas rather than demand more.

3) The border cannot be made reasonably secure.

4) Higher corporate taxes will not make America less competitive on the world market.

5) Globalism is not another name for selling out America.

Conservatives usually uphold the standards of God far better then many liberals!
I find it quite sad that you determine biblical truth by the secular standards of "conservative" or "liberal." God has not called us to be "conservative" nor "liberal" as a category. We are called to be like Jesus. Jesus is cannot be categorized as "conservative" or "liberal" by modern American standards.

I can't figure out how someone who keeps ranting at me that the "social gospel" is not biblical, makes pronouncements about who and who is not an "enemy of God" using right-wing social gospel pronouncements that have NOTHING to do with evangelism.

You have insisted that the gospel is all about salvation, yet you continually rant about social positions. It's incredibly hypocritical. What you are really saying is that the gospel is about salvation and YOUR social positions, given to you by the current version of the Republican Party. The Republican Party is dying, but it is not dying for your sins. They have bought you for a price, but they are powerless to save you. You cannot serve two masters. You need to choose Jesus over Donald Trump.

Unless the righteousness of the "conservatives" and "liberals" exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, they shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

I'm judging by the standards of Jesus, not political standards. The standard is the character of God (Matthew 5:48). And God has told us what to do in terms of those who are oppressed, the widow, the orphan, the alien, and the poor. God's teaching contradicts both the Democratic and Republican agendas. I realize a bunch of people around here assume I am advocating being a Democrat. I am not a Democrat, nor do I advocate being a Democrat. It just seems that way because I am trying to hold a biblical standard in a forum where so many are Republican and believe they, simply by being a Republican, are fulfilling the social obligations imposed by God.

You just like to hear yourself, even when it’s a bunch of hooey, you try to sell it. You are the only buyer of what you try to sell. You are really good at gaslighting though, it’s a strong liberal trait, so……………

You just like to hear yourself...
I really don't. I'm tired of trying to call people to Jesus. But I have to do it because there is no other hope.

...even when it’s a bunch of hooey, you try to sell it.
I'm not selling anything. If you think it is "hooey," please cheerfully ignore me.

...You are the only buyer of what you try to sell.
The call to discipleship to Jesus is not something to buy or sell. It is a call to die to oneself.

You are really good at gaslighting though, it’s a strong liberal trait, so……………
Not gaslighting. I'm also not harmed by people who like to put labels on others. You are only deceiving yourself.

Have to give credit when due though; he can say the "most nothing" in the most eloquent words, such that you almost forget to weigh his output against logic!;)

No, am saying that we can be for the rights of all people, but not at the expense of accepting as b eing valid things such as Abortion, gay marriages, Blm, Crt, as all of those are n ot from the bible but mandated by culture and against God!
