closings?

I've seen a consistancy in the closing of topics in this forum, which would make it ok. News gets old fast. If the discussion needs more discussion, they don't stop you from starting the topic in another forum.

 

I have thought in the past that some of the topics could have stayed on longer because the ones where there is no discussion will fade off of the board anyway.

However; now that this is a fellowship forum with no debating, I doubt the closing of most of the topics will bother anyone.

Quite the contrary. I think the moderators often wait quite a bit longer than I would in their place. That has got to be the toughest job. It seems like the role of parenting somewhat. Making decisions for the ultimate good of all involved, and by doing so being in the line of fire themselves. Thank you moderators for doing your best to make this place better for all of us.

I DID think that debating was no longer allowed in the News Forum.

Due to the Iraqi situation; this is where most of the debating has been lately.

And I want to make it clear that I was NOT criticizing the moderators. You have a tough job; one that I would not want!

Sue I have never felt criticism from you
I just wanted to share what I think is the correct view on the new forum headings. I may be wrong and if so I welcome correction but this is how I think the Webmaster intends the board to operate. Thanks for all you do Sue.

Seeing where the 3 page rule has come from, I can understand it. Keep up the good work.

 

I think that topics often go on for a lot longer than I would let them...if I was a moderator.

But seriously, I think the moderators are very fair. I think they do a good job from what I've seen. Good goin' there.
