You know, we have these debates about clothes and what we wear....

Bottom line, for most men, visual stimulation from women causes a greater reaction than visual stimulation by men for women.

That does't mean that we, either way, should step beyond our liberties.

Beyond that, what difference does clothes really make???

They keep me from getting sunburned or frozen, depending on the time of year! Barry says to tell you they also keep the mozzies (mosquitoes) off!

And you know how they are supposed to hide the lovely curves some have when they are young and sweet?

I count on mine to hide the other curves that have come with time -- that way I still look a little younger and sweeter I hope!

Seriously, God gave us clothes because He knew the devil and our own sin natures were going to entice us to immorality, and proper clothing is one way to keep the temptations down.

And finally, they are a covering to remind us of the covering Christ gives us as sinners who are believers.

(I'm really grateful they keep the bugs off, too!)

Thank God for clothing, Helen! And Saggy, it IS the "bottom line" that would show if I wasn't wearing it.

    Thank God for clothing.
I don't have any of those wonderful curves to want to show off, all I've got is bulges. And I hope to tell you I want no one to see those, so I am modestly, beautifully covered, in my loose fitting dresses and pants and tops.

To the others here: I have had the opportunity to talk to Kate a couple of times on the phone. I wish y'all could hear her! Every time I get off the phone I am wiping tears of laughter away. It doesn't show in her posts too much, but this lady's sense of humor is something she ought to charge for the privilege of listening to!

Thank you Helen, lol, you made me laugh this time.
I'm always afraid of offending someone on the BB with humor.

On top o' that, as far as summer goes, there are parts o'me that ain't never seen uv rays, and lest I suffer sunburns in sensitive areas, they're remainin' covered!!

    Coppertone girl my foot!!!

Since God mentions it and gives us instruction it makes a difference and some gals get right close to nekkid and others need not eat beans lest they split more than there sides with laughter and lose what they have on.

This is the only clothing thread...IMO that seems to have a sweet spirit about it. I must tell you that the mere mention of the topic made me avoid it like the plague of which those topics surely become...big mud pits in which people brawl...over the same old thing....same old, same old! Bleck!!

Kate...if you have a great sense of humor...please show it. If someone gets offended because of humor...than there is something wrong with them. I wish you would be yourself. Hey...I'm a prime example of sarcasm being taken for something else. If only it was within our grasp to add tone and influx to the written word. Most everything I say is "sing song" :D ... Please Kate...be yourself. [IMG]

John...did you know that that little Coppertone baby was Jodie Foster? Add that to your trivia bank. ( I know...you probably already knew that) [IMG]

I didn't know that. There's a reproduction of the original Coppertone girl poster on the boardwark at Disney's Califrnia Adventure. I'll have to check it out.
