No one would win such a war, and the entire Korean peninsula would be decimated. That could be the start of a global thermonuclear conflagration. We need to send special forces in to assassinate Kim Jong Il, and his henchmen.

It is a good sign that North Korea has melted under world pressure and not conducted its test of the Taep’o-dong-2C/3 missile.

 

Here's some G2 for you. North Korea does NOT have the capability of building nuclear bombs that are small enough to fit on top of their rockets. If they were to figure out how to lob one over into South Korea, it would be strictly by luck for them to hit anything.

South Korea would not be set back by decades. If a nuke did happen to hit a major area it would be a tragedy, but the US would kick N Korea so hard and swift they wouldn't know what hit them.

Its amazing how fast people forget that we have the best conventional war forces in the world and a few Nukes would be lucky to get anywhere once the first one was launched---and again I say that they cannot yet build one that small.

Now, have they bought one from an old Soviet Union State? Possible, but its been so long since they've been enriched that it is doubtful that it would go critical. So, we have a basic dirty bomb.

I wouldn't start building fall-out shelters over North Korea.

 

North Korea is quite capable of launching a conventional artillery barrage that would level Seoul.

If DPNK would allow inspections and was cooperating, I'd agree with you.

 

Diplomacy only works with reasonable people. There has to be a desire to be reasonable. Striving for diplomacy with this fella is like trying to pet a rabid dog. He has no sense, is only driven by his agenda, and has no desire to do what is best for everybody.

Guys like him are a result of failed communism. And his agenda is driven by the need for a real economy that he canot have under his communist regime. So he is trying to force everyones hands into international welfare. He needs to be taken out, and communism destroyed. It is dangerous to the world.

 

As you say, diplomacy only works with sane people.

Communism may be a threat, but not as big of a threat as nuclear islam. Communism under the old USSR - the leaders really didn't want MAD (mutually assured destruction). At least the Soviets were sane and reasonable. However, this communist guy is a nut job who is beyond reason.

However, instead of N. Korea being the biggest nuclear threat, I believe the larger threat comes from islamofascists with nuclear power, i.e., Iran or some islamic nutcakes thinking they are going to allah in MAD. After all, the koran teaches that if innocent muslims die, they are going to paradise anyway because they died while others were fighting the infidels.
