    A Prayer for the U.S. Coast Guard

    Almighty God,

    We intercede for the men and the women

    Serving in the US Coast Guard.

    Grant them diligence as Guardian Angels

    Watching o’er seafarers sailing the seas.

    Grant them accuracy while searching about

    For those unaware of life’s stormy seas.

    Grant that their soundings and markings shall be

    Effectual in providing safe haven for these.

    As they guard our coasts, assure them that when

    They pass through the waters,

    You will still be with them.

    Assure these gatekeepers to Your heavenly lights

    That we will keep lower lights burning for them

    In godly service to You and our country. Amen.
