Colorado's Electors Reject Obama Birthplace Appeals

The nine electors from Colorado have outright rejected appeals from certain citizens to not vote for Mr. Obama. The letters were based on the idea that the President Elect was born in Kenya and not in Hawaii.

"I took them seriously enough that I was concerned that there are that many nutty people in the country making depressing, absurd allegations," said elector Camilla Auger. "There are so many problems in the country right now, we need to work together."

I applaud this action, as it is readily apparent that Obama was born in Hawaii of an American mother. Even had he been born in Kenya, he would be a US citizen. Besides, his birth was announced at the time in the Honolulu newspaper. I guess it was a conspiracy back in the 1960s too! :laugh:

Unless you cite internet links or reference talk radio, you will not hear nor read but very little about this in the news .....either in papers or television.

People like me.....independants ...... have questions too about this.....

The comments you make and especially the ones of CTB are inflammatory and completely unnecessary. You all do nothing to invite or encourage unity: The election was already resolved November 4th. What I've seen in these forums is a poor excuse of sportmans ship on the part of those who got what they wanted with the election. It is time you people shape up and let us all settle down to the things we all must work together on.

I would suggest, however, that if any of you are asked to sit on a jury and consider evidence regarding an accused....... that you know the difference between hearsay and evidence...... and that before you accept just what is shown as evidence...... that you consider and weigh carefully the authority attesting for and against.... realizing that no matter what you believe .....or what you suppose the 'agendas' may be ...... you must always vote 'not guilty unless all doubt has been removed. By the same token, you should expect that all evidence be presented which is available.... and that the rights of censorship belongs to the judge.... and not the jury nor the prosecution nor the defense.

When a Demoncrat lawyer brings a suit..... it is false to say 'its Republicans'.
