The 18-page assignment instructions included three sources that students were told to use, including one that stated gassings in concentration camps were a “hoax” and that no evidence has shown Jews died in gas chambers.

“With all this money at stake for Israel, it is easy to comprehend why this Holocaust hoax is so secretly guarded,” states the source, which is a attributed to a webpage on biblebelievers.org.au. “In whatever way you can, please help shatter this profitable myth. It is time we stop sacrificing America’s welfare for the sake of Israel and spend our hard-earned dollars on Americans.”

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is going to have to answer about common rotten core if he wants to run for President in 2016, also. Indiana passed an alternative but the alternative looks like a close copy of the original. Indiana does not want to lose federal money.

Man, this is just nuts!

I'm confused. Where does Bush state that those are his views too?

Has he declared his intent to run for President, dog catcher, etc? Otherwise his positions mean as much as my third grade teacher's positions.

Somebody must already have a candidate for President in mind and his last name doesn't begin with a B and end in an -ush.

After reading through the OP's links, and the National Review and Blaze links provided a few posts later, I have to come to the conclusion that the original assignment is poorly worded but not an effort to sell the Holocaust as a "hoax." It is urging students think for themselves, though I can think of a lot better subjects upon which to build such an exercise. It was not a well-chosen essay topic.

As to linking Jeb Bush to the "junk" in the OP, that's a stretch as well. Bush supports Common CORE, true. Other GOP hopefuls don't. But I consider the effort herein to link Bush to the "Holocaust as hoax" rubbish as being disingenuous.

Whoa wait a minute. No one said Bush supported the holocaust is a hoax. Not once. All I said was the Bush supports this type of teaching method as he supports common core knowing what it is about. The problem with common core is the ridiculous method in which they teach. However, in other areas there is clear propoganda being taught especially about the President.

Then perhaps that should have been clarified right after the OP and the second post where it was mentioned this is the kind of junk Jeb Bush supports.

No harm done.

Sorry about that, Rev. Because it appeared to me you had linked your second comment to your OP, I leaped to an incorrect conclusion. Please forgive me.

It's antisemitism to question some Holocaust accounts, and it's racist to question Obama.

This should be an interesting discussion.

It's like trying to teach that 9/11 didn't happen. If folks want to believe it didn't , go speak to the folks who were there.

Yes but you are dealing with impressionable children. Seriously, if I had the means & the capacity then I would home-school.

Why would anyone want too unless they were antisemitic.
Question some accounts of the Holocaust? If I were German I would want to, and would want to make certain some accounts are not embellished, exaggerated or simply out and out fabricated in order to shame me into blind submission to an oppressive regime.

If I were born 100 years later and am told things that seem unbelievable, I would want to question and verify.

There is any number of reasons one would want to question any account of any thing.

What? The Jews are incapable of propaganda?

I think it's good to question things because folks will often only present one limited point of view that becomes people's truth instead of the FULL point of view that IS the truth.

We did it with American History. I'm sure the same was done to a degree with Jewish History.
