Is it one of those 'buy your own present' sort of newsletters with no check? [IMG]

Just a very quick hello and then I have to run do the second shift.

First, Chips you better leave a chocolate caramel for me. You're in driving distance......

Sue, Isn't it nice that Brent has so many boy cousins to play with. My poor son is the only boy out of five grandchildren on T's side. My brother has a son but he's done grown and married.

Walmart for the glasses is part of the second shift. First I have to find the perscription and the reciepts for them.

Pat(second sis) went in for her cast this morning. They say she will heal very nicely and should be up and around by Monday.

Pray for T today, he is expecting an offer for a new position he has applied for. We need this position for the security, the less stress and the financial benefits.

    See ya later........hopefully.

I sure will pray for that new position! Let us know and be safe while out and about.

No promises on that candy. I like the soft ones too.

LOL...There better be some candy for us diabetics! ;)

Just got back home from going into town. Had to go take the garbage to the convenience center, then to the bank, and then to get a few groceries. Viv and I both decided not to do the Wal Mart thing. We went to BiLo, and we're glad we did. We ran into a former co-worker and it was good to chat for a while. Her BIL does my towing when our cars break down, and her sister cuts my hair when I can have it cut and don't want to do it myself. Found out she's the same blood type as Vivian and I, and she said she'd donate blood if I had to have more transfusions.

Gonna try to do some things to help get things organized around here. It's time to start moving more things in! [IMG]

    Menagerie, you're in our prayers.

Yeah, but you know what happens when you eat too much sugar-free chocolate.....
So I stay away from it, and eat the real thing in moderation ( ).

Been really busy these last few days. Trying to get work done while trying to revamp the Sunday School schedule to accomodate all of the kids we're getting. Growth is tough to manage!

Not to mention trying to start planning VBS. I think we'll be swamped this year. Anybody want to do a mission trip to the inner city of the North? Actually, we might be able to get such a group if we get our request in early. Pray all us VBSers out there handle the load!

Cheryl once got me some low carb ice cream. The carbs were so low, I ate the whole thing in one sitting. I've got one word for you, "BLOATED!"

hey - anybody know if a rice cooker can serve as a crock pot??

I am trying to make some soup and someone has borrowed my crockpot (oven/stove are broken)and my mama is coming for a visit. Thanks!

A crockpot is a slower cooker than a rice pot. I'd not recommend it!

Can you run to Wal-Mart and buy a slow cooker or ask for yours to be returned?

BTW... you DO mean homemade soup, right? You want something that will cook all day long???

Well, WalMart is 40 minutes away, and besides DH is gone in the car. The folks with the crock pot are not home anyway. (of course!)

What I ended up doing was sauteeing the veggies on the electric griddle and thawing in the microwave some frozen turkey stock we made several weeks ago. Now its all in the rice cooker. :(

Anyone want to eat with us tonight??? [IMG]

I just re-read that, and it sounds like we are pitiful. We arent!! Just not so used to being without a REAL way to cook!!

    Thanks Diane!

We are having quesadillas too. Those are excellent done on the griddle. I may end up over at the church to cook something when DH gets home with the key!!

I need to live forty miles from Walmart. Then maybe they wouldn't get so much of our paycheck.

Tater what time did you get your baby down last night?

I live 1.1 miles from Wal-Mart and cannot remember how long it's been since I've gone there. I'm guessing Christmas or soon after.
