    ONE AND ALL TO THE

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

    Hmmm, no one's around.

I just scarf the rest of these donuts and the last of the coffee. Mmmmm.

OH NO!!!!! The kids discovered my hiding place. :( At least I still have some coffee left!

Never mind the coffee menageriekeeper, as long as Sue left some Dr Pepper on the shelves. [IMG]

Hi Sue! Did they let you back from the corner? It is very dreary here in the Big Apple, certainly not for the weak at heart. Thanks for the picture of the empty tomb! [IMG] Have a blessed Easter you all! [IMG]

Hi Barnabas! You know I always keep plenty of Dr. Pepper on hand just for YOU!

They let me off the corner, but they told me I have to go back this afternoon.

And you're welcome. The empty tomb is what we're celebrating, eh?

    Happy Easter to you too!

MK: We have a 'kiddies room' over to the side that is fenced in (all around, top, and bottom) [IMG]

Just send the kids over there to play with the toys while you enjoy your coffee. [IMG]

You can have the Dr. Pepper, Barnabas. I love it but my sugar doesn't and I hate the diet stuff. Eew! nasty!

Sue, the kids took the donuts and ran off to the woods!

Don't be talkin' about Diet Dr. Pepper now. That is MY choice of beverage! To me, there is no difference in the taste...

Lately, I have gotten on a Diet Vanilla Coke 'kick'. It is really good with no aftertaste at all.

Once I tasted diet coke . . . once.
My sisters and I still talk about the gasoline taste. [IMG]

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the woods to get those doughnuts back. [IMG]

Well I guess you could send them HERE. LOL I only have Max Tues. thru Thursday from about 2 til 6:15. I'll have little Jack tomorrow at 9:00 but Ty won't be back until next Monday. I have an easy week but still get paid. [IMG]

I've gotten so much running around done today. I don't usually have things to do but needed to pick up Nick's suit from the cleaners, pick up samples of Singulair from his allergist, take some post cards to be mailed (for the S/S kids), stop by the consignment shop with a few more things Nick has outgrown, take the tax papers Jim did for a friend to her work.... Busy, busy, busy. Had to stop and get GAS and YIKES! $22.00 to fill up my Saturn VUE.

Now I've got a little ironing to do and need to vacuum when it's closer to time for Jon to wake up. I don't like to make a lot of noise in the day since he works 12 hour nights.

Have you seen our long range weather report? [IMG]

Tell the kids I said to be home before dark and not to be leaving Bitsy tied up to that tree! ;)

I don't want the donuts back. Ants aren't my favorite source of protein. [IMG]

I don't know Diane, I have 5 of 'em here today, you sure you can stand that many?

It's good someone has some energy today. I haven't felt like doing a thing. I did run to Wally World for some milk and lightbulbs, but other than that I haven't accomplished a thing.

    Maybe later...... [IMG]

LOL . . . I had to buy lightbulbs yesterday myself. Been living in semi darkness for a few days. It was really effecting my mood . . . :(

Chocolate treat? I just got done doing the "your age by chocolate math" (in women's public forum), and now I'm really craving chocolate.

Margo...continued from the other Coffee House thread...I have actually had asthma for 30 or so years. I just haven't kept up on inhalers, etc, and it never really bothered me until just a few years back. It's gotten worse over the past two years. I just got my inhalers and all the good junk I need to keep me breathing...Yesterday's total was well over $160.00. Today's total...another $138.00, and that was with insurance. I nearly cried when I balanced the checkbook! Ever have cash in the bank that is only in the single digits? As they said on one of my favorite movies "It's a Wonderful Life" when the "panic" hit...."here's to Momma dollar and Poppa dollar! And if you want to keep up solvent you'd better have kids fast!" LOL But, Praise the Lord for what little is there! I'm alive!

Barnabas, I love Dr. Pepper, too! Vivian, my wife, loves it as well, and it definitely is one of my mother's favorite drinks!

Yep . . . I cried when all my money got dumped out for college bills or for medicine or for . . . [IMG] And, yes, those medications are very expensive.

I probably had asthma since I was about 13, but never knew what the problem was. A few years ago I saw a nurse and she told me, no, I didn't have it. SOmehow I didn't believe her though, as my older brother has it as well, so I consulted a doctor last fall and sure enough . . . [IMG]

I remember well those days of digging through the car for change in college, Margo. It wasn't easy then, and the Lord never promised it would be easy now. I guess it's just a way of getting me to show that I will put my trust in HIM to provide. He's been so good to me and provided, though there've been tough times. God IS GOOD, ALL the time! [IMG] Like the song says, "I will trust in you with all of my heart, I will trust in you with all of my mind, I will trust in you with all of my strength, for you are my Lord!" I was listening to that on the CD on the way home and just praising Him for his goodness! Oh, that men would praise him for his goodness to the children of men!

We will probably do our running Friday since there is no school, for Brent and me, and no work for Grandpa.

I need to get away from Brent long enough to get a few things for his Easter basket...

Grandpa needs to load the aluminum cans in his truck and cash them in. We got $32.00 the last time. (This money goes into a savings account for Brent's education) Brent crushes them and saves them in large lawn bags until we get 3-4 bags. I can send Brent with him so I can get some shopping done by myself.

Time to get supper on the table so the guys can take their showers and get ready for church tonight.

Oh Tony, you said something earlier about your door knob sticking. Mine do that all the time. Sometimes it's the cheap doorknobs that is the problem. More often though it is improper installation, especially on our outside doors.

To fix it you have to get the door open. Then forget the knob. Take off the faceplate that is on the door frame(not the door). It is probably set too close to the doorstop. You might just be able to move it out a little but I doubt it. We've always had to take a wood chisel and dig out the "hole" a little. That way you can set the plate away from the stop a bit. Voila, no more sticking knobs!

A bit is an 1/8 of an inch or less. Do not take to much wood off the door frame as it will affect the ease of which someone can kick the door in. Only move the plate just enough to stop the door from sticking.

Graphite on the latch and door plate can be a temporary fix. Works as long as the graphite lasts.

I've done my fix it job for the day. Got back from taking Son's friend to baseball to find water from the dishwasher running across my kitchen floor. Wasn't a dishwasher problem. There were popscicle sticks in the drain pipes.

I have supper to fix as well.....
