    Good morning all:

Due to noisy neighbors, I didn't get to sleep until after 2:00a.m. so I slept in until 7:00 this morning.

Dale just came home from work and is going to the ER. He wouldn't let them check him out the night of the accident, but every day, the pain in his ribs gets worse. I've been trying to get him to get checked out since Saturday!

Brent is still asleep, but I'm getting him up now because the doctor in ER here might send Dale to his heart doctor in Springfield.

    Will keep you posted.

Wow, Sue. Praying Dale is okay. Jim had broken ribs before and said the pain was very bad.

Tony, Our VBS is the 13th- 17th and we're doing the Ramblin' Road Trip too. There's some GREAT info and ideas

What another dreary day! Our weather shows rain for weeks! One mom said she heard the Farmer's Almanac said we're going to have a very rainy summer. That'll mean lots of mosquitoes!

The two brothers are sleeping still and Ty is 'reading' a book. Nick's playing Ratchet and Clank. Jon's sleeping in since he has to work tonight from 7 p.m. til 7 a.m.

Going to check out the board for a minute and then will see you all later.

    Good Morning!

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to the church to decorate my room. Our VBS is NEXT WEEK! Ack! I can't believe it has come on us so fast.

Diane I may do a version of your highway. I have to find out just what room we're going to be in before I can make any definate plans. I'm not sure why I don't know already, but hopefully someone at the church will know. I have one thing planned if I'm in my SS room and another if we're somewhere else.(I don't want to be in the other room because the sound echos off the walls and drives me nuts.)

Sue, isn't that just like a man not to want to get checked by the doctor. T is the same way(maybe worse). He has a bad tooth that he is stubbornly refusing to have fixed because it would mean he take a day off to do it. It doesn't seem to matter that UAB's dental clinic is within walking distance and he could have it fixed there or that he has plenty of paid off time to use. Stubborn head thinks that the dentists should be working on a day when HE wants to take off.(here the dentist's don't work on Friday)

    So good luck with Dale!

I'm planting marigolds Diane, to help with the mosquitos. I've also bought a screen gazebo so we can have some protection from the bugs this summer. And I've bought stock in OFF mosquito repellant. Hopefully between the three we can survive without to many bad bites.

Tony count yourself lucky if all you're getting is sprinkles. It's been raining here since Sunday. WE're supposed to get some clearing tomorrow before it starts raining again on Friday. We needed the rain so I can't really complain.

I think this weekend we're going to rent a Bobcat and start leveling off the backyard. We have a few tree stumps to push out with the thing. When we get that done, the pool folks can come install the pool while we build the deck addition. I have to find fill dirt somewhere and get it delivered today. Now just where does a person find fill dirt? I guess if the Yellow pages don't help me someone at City Hall can.

I've got to get started on my day, ya'll have a good one!

Dale is back home. He has a fractured rib with trauma (the trauma was caused by him working yeterday and not going to the ER when the wreck happened)!

He is off work for awhile and on light duty when he does go back (don't know for how long). He will be seeing the doctor again before he goes back to work.

We still haven't heard from the insurance company.

Please keep us in your prayers for these two concerns.

    Thanks!

I remember Jim was in awful pain and got a rib brace at the pharmacy. He couldn't take off work. We were 'working for ourselves' and had no disability type pay. Jim was older, too, when he broke his (He was the catcher in a Men's Sr. baseball game). DON'T make him laugh, unless you're mad at him. ;)

Any news on the woman who hit him?

Poor Dale! Broken ribs are no joke. I hope he gets feeling better soon!

Diane, you probably shouldn't give Sue any ideas. ;) [IMG] Especially during the "I told you so" period.

Well, I made it out to buy the car tags. One day late and there were cops everywhere! I'm sure lucky one didn't decide to give me a ticket. Then went grocery shopping. Thank goodness I left the kids at home, I spent more than enough all on my own!   Now I'm home and tired out but still have to put it all away! At least I won't have to shop for a couple of weeks if I don't want too.

Now on to looking over VBS stuff.....

Ed, what does 'marking' mean? I've noticed it elsewhere and never knew. [IMG]

I worked on tissue flowers again this afternoon while the brothers watched Peter Pan and Ty napped. Nick has made fast friends with the new child down the street and his old friends have also. They've played from lunch time til supper time, rain or shine. [IMG]

I actually forgot today was Wednesday! I get very messed up with the long weekends. LOL, like it takes much to mess ME up! I have my anti virus set to scan every Wednesday night while we're at church and noticed it was running a few minutes ago when I came in to vacuum this room. EEK!!

Wow, round here, the kids have 8 weeks until school starts again! Isn't that weird?

Having a nice day, but lots of problem with the foot. No nerve/conduction means very poor or no healing of wounds, etc.

Stubbed a toe (somewhere) and got a little crack in the corner of the nail. Two days later? Big red streaks down the toe and into the foot.

Almost lost a couple toes last summer from a little grit that got in my shoe - I can't feel it and it rubbed raw. Ugh.

    Okay, enough organ recital! [IMG]

OUCH, Dr. Bob! Sorry to hear about that. Doesn't a red streak mean infection moving into the blood stream or is that an old wives tale? Hope you heal up soon!

    Evening folks:

Today has been a busy day. Dale has been laying down all day watching TV and sleeping.

Brent and I ran errands, went to the grocery store, did papers, etc. Tomorrow we 'get' to pay bills.

No news on the other driver MK, but her insurance company told my insurance company that "it would be all right". Whatever THAT means!

Neither insurance company has been out to look at the truck and we can't do anything until they do...

Diane: "Marking" means you don't have anything to post, but you want to check the 'email notification box' for that thread.

Dr.B.: Sorry to hear about the foot. I have minor surgery on my toe this Friday. When your feet hurt - you hurt all over! :(

Past my bedtime, so I will bid you all a good night and pleasant dreams!

I get an e-mail everytime somebody posts in the Coffee House.
(So i'll rememaber to check it). I was getting the #79
cause when i posted, i checked a square called:
"Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies."

But now Sister 'I Am Blessed 16' has ended #79 at page 20
and Started #80. #79 is marked, #80 was unmarked until i
    'marked' it.

Oh yes, i didn't have anything to say at the time.

Of course, my three paragraph explanations are neatly
summarized in one sentence by Sister 'I Am Blessed' 16 who said:

//Diane: "Marking" means you don't have anything to post,
but you want to check the 'email notification box' for that thread.//

    My day was so frustrating!!!

My plan was to pick up my two grandchildren who live 35 miles from me.

Take them to get a photo ID card, then take them shopping for new clothes and take them back home.

Well, so much for plans...I picked up the children, took them 35 miles back to my town to get the ID card. Had to wait two hours. No problem getting my 8 year old granddaughter's ID card. It seems that grandson's birth certificate was not official enough for them. Drove the 35 miles back to their house to get another birth certificate which was very official. Back 35 miles to the DMV office. Had to wait in line again. Thinking that the 13 year old could handle this himself. I picked up Muffin from the groomers and took him home. I was back to the DMV office, just in time for them to call Grandson.(it seems that if I had not been there, they would have moved him to the back of the line to wait another hour) Gave the examiner, the proper documents.

First question: Are you his legal guardian? Now, I try to be very honest. So I said no. I was told that they could not issue the card because I was not the legal guardian and did not have papers saying the child was in my care that he couldn't issue the proper paperwork for the ID card.

Now I started to come unglued. I told him, I got this little girl's id card here this morning.
Then he wanted to know where the parents were. Well, the mother is deceased and the father is working and I had to drive back to their home to get the documents requested by them.

Then the examiner caused me to tell a lie. He asked again, " Are you the legal guardian" and I said, "yes'.

What really made me angry was this man knew me!!!

Well, finally, grandson has an ID card.

I took grandson shopping because he needs to stay home and work while his sister stays with me to go to Bible School. She was not too happy that she didn't get to shop for her clothes today...and then grandson wanted to go to the Mall to get namebrand stuff. I told him he didn't have to impress anyone in Florida so we were going to Walmart.

I was so tired, I prepared their supper and didn't even eat.

    I'm going to bed.

    Morning all:

Sounds like everyone had an interesting day yesterday.

Dr. Bob...take care of that toe and your foot...That's an order mister! I know about those wounds and not being able to feel your feet because of my diabetes. It's something we "old folks" have to watch (of course, I didn't have a dinosaur like you did when I went to school...LOL)!

Sue, hope things get straightened out soon with the insurance. Still praying for ya'll.

Thankful, sorry to hear your day was so stressful.

Well, it finally started raining here yesterday afternoon right after Vivian got home. It's a good soaking rain, and it continued off and on all night so far.

Vivian doesn't have to work this weekend, thank the Lord. We've got so much we have to do. I did get to fix some of the faucets yesterday. Am going to try and fix the rest of them today. I've got to pull the newer riding mower apart and see if I can special order the parts I need or go into Murfreesboro to the lawn mower shop and get the part if it's in stock. Our lawn has really grown up in just a weeks time.

Hope ya'll have a better and good day. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

Hubby will not be getting a riding lawnmower for Father's Day after all. I took it off of layaway after his accident. I know we're going to need that money to help purchase another used truck and that's more important.

Since school is out, I've been staying up later and sleeping in until 6:30 or 7:00. Sure feels good!

I went to the County Assessor's office because on my property tax bill the box that says "owner occupied" was not checked. They are preparing a new tax bill for a lower amount (with my luck they'll only take off a couple of dollars)...

I didn't even notice it last year, but of course, they give no refunds. Oh well, every little bit helps!

I am taking Brent and one of his friends, to the matinee today, to see "Madagascar". I will drop them off and pick them up. It's too expensive to give them money for snacks at the movies, but I will take them to the Dairy Bar, for an ice cream cone, after I pick them up.

I will be paying bills while they're at the theater and then we will deliver papers.

This morning, my plan is to paint a metal wardrobe, with rustoleum, for Brent's bedroom. His bedroom has no closet because it used to be our 'family room' until he moved in with us. He has been using a wardrobe made from canvas that doesn't have a front on it. (We got the metal one from "FreeCycle" and it is in good shape except for painting).

Dale is still sleeping so I don't know if his rib feels better today or not. He is supposed to go back to work tomorrow on 'light duty'. I am very surprised they didn't tape his rib cage...

    Cruising,

Gracious! Everyone had such tiring and upsetting days. I'm going to stop right after this post and pray for all of you to have paths smoothed and burdens eased today!

Ed and Sue, thanks for explaining! I thought and thought and couldn't figure that one out!

I'll have all the kids today but not until later. Ty came at almost 8:00 and he had DRESSED himself! The other kids all come dressed and he decided he wanted to be big like them. The brothers will come in a little while. Mom had to take the older one to the elementary for pre registration and testing for kindergarten. They were going about 8:00 so I figure they'll be here soon. The other 3 will come whenever mom decides. She has to work 3:00 p.m. til 3:00 a.m. and wants to take a nap sometime today.

Rain, rain, rain, rain........ it's in the forecast for the next 10 days. EEK! Makes it really had for the kids. They all want to play outside. I've got lots of videos for them to watch but then they just look like zombies.

Cook's should be here to do our monthly bug spraying around 9:00. Jon worked all night and had played with the kids all day yesterday so he's sleeping. He said to have the guy spray around him. [IMG]

Believe it or not, my chores are all done! I think I'll be bored stiff today!

LOL Diane, nothing like a little competition to make a little one want to grow up. [IMG] I bet Mom was happy.

Speaking of growing up, Bitsy has slept in her own bed for about a week now with little or no discussion. Tonight she is being rewarded with a spend the night guest! She is very excited because T and I have been firm on her not having spend the night company till she could stay in her room.

Butterfinger(new kitty) is growing too. She likes being in high places and has learned to leap much farther than such a little kitty should be able too. She's already a spoiled kitty too. The kids are taking turns letting her sleep in their rooms so she won't meow at night.

Sooo much to do today. Son wants friends to come over, Bitsy with spend the night, Precious spent last night out, I've cage cleaning to do(for guinea pigs and hamsters), and about noon I need to go to the church for a couple of hours and find out what room I'm assigned to and start decorating, and my friend who works for the nursery just called and said the plants I've been looking at are on sale for $6.00 a flat! [IMG] I have to be careful though how much I do. I paid for it last night from doing to much yesterday.

So much to do so little strength! I'm recruiting help though. Precious and her friends can help me decorate. Son and his friends can play in the Family Life center while we do. Then the boys can come dig a ditch to drain the area where the old pool was(they think this is fun!) By the time we go to the church I expect to have the cages cleaned(Son and Bitsy will help) and the house straightened(kids are bucking for a raise in their allowance, so they are keeping their chores done!).

We'll see if this all works out. Wish me luck!

Thankful, have fun at Bible School! Hopefully you'll have a better day. And according to policy around here, whoever has charge of the child is it's legal gaurdian at the time until and unless someone with more authority(like your son) is there to claim otherwise. So don't worry about it. I would have simply told him that I was as close as it got to legal gaurdian at that moment.

Dr Bob, take care of yourself!

    Sue, have fun painting!

Diane, there is no such thing as a boring day with that many kids around!

My, we are all a wreck of one sort or another!

I have my first post-surgical PT appointment at 1 PM, so I didn't go in to work. Instead I am logged in and "working from home." Can't do as much that way as being there, but it beats the pain of riding in on the El and back again for a crummy 3 hours of work time.

Hope the rain holds off until I get home this afternoon.
