    Uh oh! I hope Brian Williams and Charles Gibson don't resort to this:

    The Boston Herald's story about Katie Couric's debut quipped, "She’s got great legs and CBS knows how to use them." Humorous. In fact, I found several stories that mentioned Katie's gams. All the hype this week has catapulted CBS Evening News to number one in the ratings this week. Now, how in the world is Brian Williams and Charlie, I mean, Charles Gibson supposed to compete with that? Well, as I showed this cartoon around the office, the laughter confirmed that it was winner.

    I have never thought of her as a great newsperson.

    Katie is cute . . . but, that is not what I look at first in a woman or a newsperson.

    My first criteria is integrity. Second is honesty. Third is Faith. Then if a person passes the primary levels of scrutiny, I might check if they are cute or ugly.
