See the description of the survey and how the stats were derived. There is an interesting term in the narrative: Muslim American Survey Sample. Surfing what a Muslim American might be would be informative.

There is a serious skew in this data. The possible denominations list does not reflect the real world of religion. There is no such thing as The Baptist Church. The SBC is a business and many so-called churches are LLCs.

New Testament churches are not businesses.

Guess this data might be useful in Ecumenism 101.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

here is another web site but the numbers don't appear to be the most recent.
http://www.adherents.com/adh_rb.html

For example - Christianity today reports the SDA number at 18.1 Million adding 1 million each year for the past 10 years.

Hence: Ecumenism 101.

Salvation is of the Lord. No one comes to the Father, unless The Spirit draws him. God saves us in spite of our religiosity.

The world is filled with religion, most of it false. The largest group called Christian says there is no salvation outside their group--HQ in Rome. There is a splinter group who consider themselves more orthodox. They do not recognize the papal authority--a serious schism, all things considered. They cannot both be right; however, they could both be wrong.

Speaking of numbers: eight souls were spared before the Great Flood; not that they deserved it, but rather they found Grace. The rest of the inhabitants perished, probably not lacking religion. How many? Do the math. The Scripture says God was grieved that He had made man.

Back to the One who wrote John 14:6. This Scripture eliminates a sizeable chunk of the religions of the world. Sorting through those called Christian is an interesting adventure. Many of them believe they are saved by their baptism and other sacraments, aka good works.

Then there are those with repeat after me prayers for salvation. These number in the 100,000's. Now what?

The Lord knows them that are His. Another they will not follow.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Christianity....

........is not a religion. The Body of Christ is Grace, no handle bars, no wheels, no rider, and no chain.
