“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel …
    by which you are saved,
IF you hold fast that word which I preached to you
    – unless you believed in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap
    (eternal life),
IF we do not lose heart.“ (Galatians 6:9)

“He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy,
and blameless, and above reproach in His sight — IF indeed you continue in the
faith … and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel” (Colossians 1:22-23)

IF we endure, we shall also reign with Him.” (2 Timothy 2:12)
This reminds us of the verses in Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13
“But the one who endures to the end (of his/her life) will be saved.”
The immediate context is physical, but this verse has a double meaning!

“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift
away from it … every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think
we can escape, IF we ignore this great salvation” (Hebrews 2:1-3)

“And we are God’s house, IF we keep our courage and remain confident in our
hope in Christ … For IF we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as
when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.” (Hebrews 3:6, 14)

“ ‘Now the just shall live by faith; but IF anyone draws back, My soul has
no pleasure in him.’ But we are not of those who draw back to perdition,
but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.” (Hebrews 10:36-39)

However, Paul doesn’t know if any of his “we” friends will “draw back”.

“… for IF you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way
there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:10-11)

In addition, there are several NT verses which state that continuing and enduring
belief-faith (as well as other requirements) is necessary ... because salvation is a process.
    These are available upon request.
