CONFIRMATION TO THIS WORLD

Romans 12.2
2. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of GOD is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

A word "renewing" means - born again, "mind" means soul - spirit. Similar to that when Jesus teach Nicodemus who does not understand at first what means "born again." (John 3.1-8).

In this passage Paul trying to convince readers to avoid to be "conformed to this world." Means, live, think, and act as the world does, which is full of deceit, godlessness, and evil.

Christians have their own standards and Rules of living which separate them from rules and standards of this world. Because of it Paul warned here not be conformed to secular and godless way of living of this world, no matter if it personal life, work, business, or anything else, but always remember who you are and by which standards and laws a true Christian should live.

GOOD WORKS IN CHRIST

Romans 12.4-8

Here Paul teaches us of how we can use our physical bodies to glorify GOD in our life. Our behavior, words, and deeds always in the open for everyone to see, and non-believers judging us not for what we say but for what we do, act, and live. Outsiders comparing our words and our Bible to us, in order to see if our words match our deeds. On the basis of that assessment, they and judging us.

Basically, what Paul asks here is to dedicate our bodies for worship and service of our GOD in Spirit and in Physical Works whatever it may be, proving again that the doers of the Law justified before GOD and not the listeners.

And who could be the better example of it as the Paul himself? Paul shows by his own zest for GOD and his own ambition to do good in the name of the Lord how a true Christian shall worship and service his/her Lord, from the whole heart, with complete dedication, faith, and love.

Even outsiders, then will see will your good deeds and dedication to your GOD, will praise the Lord for all the good works conducted by a true Christian. So, let your Light Shine before the world to glorify your GOD.

Matthew 5.16
16. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father Who is in Heaven." (Isaiah 42.6, 49.6) (Matthew 5.14-16) (Luke 2.30-32) (John 1.4-9, 9.5, 12.46) (Acts 13.47).
