Atlanta, GA – The Police Tribune has confirmed with International Brotherhood of Police Southeast Regional Director Vince Champion that Atlanta police officers are walking off the job Wednesday night.

The walkout started shortly after Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced 11 charges against now-fired Officer Garrett Rolfe, and three charges against Officer Devin Brosnan for the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks June 12.

Looks like at least two weeks self-isolation.... could be COVID-19. Plus, everyone they have been around. Looks like entire departments could be empty a couple weeks if they follow the guidelines.

peace to you

I'm not usually one for "strikes" or walk outs - but this is on of these exceptions.
With what is going on - it would not surprise me -if others would do the same thing,
knowing that the police will be extra careful...... for the citizens - this is a loose - loose situation.

And if most cops were to quit - would the Governor call up the National Guard Military police?

and the action of DOD

170th MP Bn, with 3 MP Companies fo the GA National Guard

This is completely insane. The GBI has not concluded its investigation and the D.A. files charges??? That is not how it is done in Ga. I hope the entire APD goes on strike.

Come on Reynolds - dont you know that the DA has to be PC! And he doesnt want the Mayor to look bad, now does he?

Yes, and it's especially a lose-lose situation for the police--no leadership or backing, potential targets on the streets. The citizens need to feel what it's like with no police, whether national guard or en garde.

I'm trying to think of what other recourse police have at this point in leftist-run cities. If current training is now obsolete, and you will be prosecuted and destroyed for doing your job, walking off is the only viable option.

Particularly, the protective detail of all these leftist politicians should walk off.

The Metro City cops should resign and try to join their suburb or county departments. Then they can quarantine the Metro City areas when they descend into chaos.
