“Representative Steve King of Iowa, a Republican with a history of making inflammatory and racist statements about immigrants and promoting white nationalist views, drew criticism on Tuesday after retweeting a British activist who is a prominent Nazi sympathizer and has described himself as an admirer of Hitler.”

Steve King said "Europe is waking up...Will America...in time?" and inclided a repost of a comment by Mark Collett saying "65% of Italians under the age of 35 now oppose mass immigration. Europe is waking up..."

So how many on this Forum oppose mass immigration to the US?
Does that make you all "Nazi sympathizers" for agreeing with Mark Collett that controlling immigration is a good idea?
Does it make Steve King a "Nazi sympathizer"?

To quote Donald Trump: "Fake News."

[Mr. King might be a racist, but the NY Times needs to do its job and actually report facts rather than innuendo.]

I don't have a problem with illegal immigration either, although I think it should be scaled back for awhile to let the ones here totally assimilate.

The NYT has a reporter assigned to read through Steve King's retweets, guess they'd rather cover that than the news and wonder why?

Are they assimilating?
When we have projects in Dade County, Florida (Miami), we hire people fluent in Spanish because most of the Government Workers don't speak English fluently. When I visited the Hospital in Miami, the new nurse coming on asks if anyone needs the announcements in English.

Frankly, I encountered more English speaking people in Cozumel, Mexico than Miami, Florida.
That does not feel like assimilation.

That's why I think it should be cut back, they're not assimilating well at all, and why should they learn English? They can do everything else in their own language.
