Fired U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara spoke out on Sunday with a cryptic message about his dismissal.

“By the way, now I know what the Moreland Commission must have felt like,” Bharara tweeted, referring to the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption, which investigated corruption within New York’s political system in 2013. Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) dissolved the independent body in 2014 after passing ethics reforms, but a later investigation by Bharara attempted to bring a criminal case against Cuomo himself.

I see no real controversy other than the manufactured one. U.S. Attorneys serve at the President's pleasure.

That is true. But it could well be that Trump really wanted him gone as he has a reputation of going after corruption and Trump doesn't want himself or his administration examined.

Or... It could be because, like every other administration, he wants his own people in place.

No story.

What's up with this guy? Over the weekend, he gained over 100,000 followers on twitter after about only 40 tweets.

I think he wants to run for some office in NYC or something. He was Chuckie Schumer's point man and could have been one of the gadzillion leakers. Preet was a mixed bag, IMO - picked at Weiner but threw the book at that D"Souza guy. Well, bye.
