There is supposed to be a difference between the church and the world, but the church is the world in so many respects :tear: I'd say it is the world but don't want :tonofbricks: :laugh:

 

I see 2 reasons for these kinds of things to exist.

#1, Whoever is sponsoring these places thinks that the secular equivalents are ungodly, immoral places and something needs to be in place for Christians so they don't have to go to the "Den of Iniquity" that is Youtube, Wikipedia, etc.

#2, Whoever is sponsoring these places thinks they can make money merely by slapping a Christian label on it because they see the Christian community as a bunch of gullible rubes willing to visit the site just because it has the Christian label.

Although the videos and/or information found on Youtube and Wikipedia may be immoral, I see nothing inherently immoral about them. You can see which one I think is true.

 

Yeah, this is terrible.

The world uses the yellow pages, we copycat them and use them as well.

The world uses television and radio to broadcast their message, so do we.

Disgusting - the worldly church out to be ashamed of itself. We should do nothing like the world - nothing.

 

Are we not supposed to be "Christianizing" everything we can?

Did the Great Commission end and no one told me?

 

We aren't to be "Christianizing" anyTHING, we are to win the lost and disciple them according to the Great commission I know about :laugh:

By posting Christian 'things' on a non-Christian 'thing', people will read them and possibly change their thoughts about Jesus Christ.

That is where the Great Commission comes into play.

The more places we can talk about Jesus Christ - the better...

 

See my above post. If there was something inherently wrong with Youtube, Wikipedia, etc., then having an alternative is fine with me. But, I don't think there's something inherently immoral about them. The "Christianizing" of them is about the opportunity to make a buck knowing that Christians will view/read/listen to anything that's labeled Christian.

A website is "amoral". It's the content on the site that makes it moral or immoral. You have to wade through the filth on those sites to find what you want. I thank God for "Christian" sites, so we don't have to wade through the porn and garbage.

you have no idea what their intentions and motives are...so quit pretending that you do. That's slandering.
