I'm re-reading the book the "Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Which, I thoroughly enjoy, and I am curious as to what people on this board if they have read it think about it.

I’m not going to be much help to you here brother as I read it over 20 years ago. What it did is spurred a curiosity about Bonhoeffer... his internal struggles etc. Consequently I dove into his life by reading several articles and books on his life. I could go to the library and get the book if you are interested and re read it if you want to plunge into a discussion . Doesn’t look like anyone on the board has commented so I’m your huckleberry.I'm re-reading the book the "Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I will go to the library tomorrow’s to see if they have the book& will let you knowIt's also been 20+ years since I read it.
Via a Google search, I found a downloadable PDF of the book online; however, though it's on a dotcom site, I'm not certain of the legality of it, thus I hesitate to post it here. It's from a copy that appears to have the same green cover as the one I read so long ago.
Like you it had been twenty years ago since I last read it. Then it was for a college class. But since I had forgotten much of it I decided to pick it up again. Interestingly enough his first chapter begins with "cheap grace" which I thought was a good discussion. It gets better from there. I didn't expect many to read this work as Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran. I think he had some great insights about things.I’m not going to be much help to you here brother as I read it over 20 years ago.
